It's been almost a year since I got my Wrangler, and it's been nothing but fun!!!

My XJ is just pure fun to drive on the road and off. Yes it's design and how it's currently set up is biased to off-road. It's a 96 and stills feels solid and confident.

Yeah I’d say XJ is the best daily for most people. But my TJ was a highway cruiser and was extremely comfortable for some reason, much more so than either XJ I had. I am also too tall for XJs lol.

I agree. My mom had an XJ and while it was great for around town driving highway driving for long periods kinda sucked. I own a tj now and I've driven several times on the highway for 2 hours at a time and it was very comfortable driving it on smooth roads it rides like a cadi lol and I haven't changed the shocks on it I think they are the original shocks or they were replaced sometime before I bought it 8 years ago.

The XJ is the best daily driver hands down. The problem is I dont use my jeeps as daily drivers, so that is why I havent bought an XJ. TJ is my legacy project and my Gladiator is just for fun!

I purchased my tj a year ago 00 sport 4.0 5 speed rust free loved it so much its now my summer toy. Last week i bought a xj just to see what all the hype is about mine has a rustys 6.5 long arm lift bumpers and all that fun stuff cant wait to take it out.

I've owned and driven both for many years. For a daily it's XJ and it's not even close... for me anyways. That AW4 transmission alone is a top reason to get better fuel mileage on top of having more space especially if you have a family. Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE the TJ. (I also have a CJ7 I love too) But in a daily driver sense, the XJ is my go to and if I wanna have fun there's the TJ.....but my ultimate recommendation is to just drive what's best and fun for you! Both are wonderful vehicles, IMO.

Kyle, have you, or can you do a video on how to tighten the Tilt lever on the TJ? Mine drops with moderate bounce and it’s pretty annoying. I know I could use a bungee or something, but I’d like to repair it. Thanks!
@KyleSVT2 ай бұрын
What do you mean by tilt lever good sir?
@BringBackMike2 ай бұрын
@@KyleSVT under the steering column, there is a lever that pulls down to allow you to adjust the angle of the steering wheel, and then push it back up to keep the wheel in place. When the Jeep bounces, the lever drops down to and is basically between my knees. I removed the plastic panel but can’t see an obvious way to adjust or fix the problem. Thanks.

I’ll take a xj because the ride hate a frame over the unibody(don’t get me wrong I know A-frame is stronger, but the ride is different)

I have both, but my TJ is an LJ. So cargo isn’t as much of a factor. As for reliability, make sure you get a Flokooler water pump for your 4.0’s. Especially on the XJ, you know how they love to get hot under the collar.😂

Flowkooler is a gimmick
@TheRealestHi3 ай бұрын
@@dogshmog yo that gimmick pumps full throttle levels of coolant at idle speed, brought down my average temperature down by 15° later I coupled it with an all aluminum radiator and 3 Trash electric fans, my XJ is runnin. Before that every time I sat in a drive-through, got stuck in traffic I would overheat with brand new factory, electric fan and fan clutch. Because Miami is hot as the devil’s thong year-round.
@dogshmog3 ай бұрын
@@TheRealestHi no it doesn't. It's oem style housing and the impeller is nearly the same, but it's blue. Gimmick.
@TheRealestHi3 ай бұрын
@@dogshmog don’t mock it till you’ve tried it. It works. In fact when I switched over, I had to replace damn near every gasket in the cooling system because of the pressure increase. Two weeks earlier I put a stock brand new pump on, no leaks, but overheating. You do you, bro, I I’m just saying from experience that it works.
@dogshmog3 ай бұрын
@@TheRealestHi I've had one on a 95 f150 351w, it made zero difference. If your cooling system isn't holding temps near thermostat temp, something is wrong. Even if it does pump "full throttle levels at idle", moving fluid faster through a radiator reduces the time for heat transfer and is not good. It's a gimmick, I'm sorry.
