I just bought my 2005 TJ Trail Rated Rocky Mountain about 3 weeks ago. It's not my first Jeep though. The salesman told me that the finance company was wanting me to get a newer model. I said, "does any of them have 2 doors? 4.0L inline 6cyl? 6 speed manual transmission?" He said no. Well I didn't go there to buy a Jeep. I went to him to buy "THAT" particular Jeep, lol. It was sitting in the quality inspection bay waiting to be inspected. They had just got it in that same day on a trade-in. I looked it over top to bottom. This thing only had 118k miles. Trading my car in on this Jeep was a no brainer, it was going home with me, lol. This Jeep never saw the dealership's lot. After 2 days of inspecting and detailing it for sale. I test drove it right out of that bay. In my book, TJ's are by far the best Wranglers on the road.

best jeep ever to be produced.... Dont make the same mistake I made, I sold it & bought a JK.

No plans to sell it, although there has been some encouragement to do so. I have several friends that have JKs and I'm just not a fan, but looking at all the "angry eye's" it seems the owners are not happy with them either.

I agree! I own Jeep YJ laredo and the last real Jeep wrangler are the TJ..

I did just the opposite. Got rid of my '08 JK X with that putrid 3.8 mini van engine. And found a great '05 TJ Rocky Mtn with a 4.0 I6, 3.73's and a Dana 44. I'll never own another Jeep beyond '06 again. O|||||||O 🇺🇸ONLY IN A 2 DR🇺🇸 '41 - '06

Looks good but how many problems did you have afterwards from spraying water all over the electrical components?!
@JWCMotorsports5 жыл бұрын
No problems at all. Jeeps are well known for the ability to go through water crossings. It started with no hesitation and has had no issues as of last week. A key is to not use high pressure on any sensors, connections, or the computer.

I have realized that you haven't covered the Alternator OR the Battery and the intake air!!

Correct, as for the air intake, I did not spray it directly so no more water than driving this Jeep in the rain. As for the alternator and battery, I have never had any problems doing what I did. 12V DC is not like the 120v (or 240v) AC you have in your home. The computer, Ignition, and wire connectors are the most vulnerable, but I do not hit any of them with hi-pressure so again, no worse than rain or a water crossing which this Jeep has done and most are capable of doing without any problems.

Never had any problems with spraying out any of my engine bays with the battery connected.
