It's Part 2 of the Jeep Gladiator Shakedown at Janowen HIlls 4x4 Park.
After watching Justin take the Jeep through the mud pit, Christian surrenders to peer pressure and throws in his unlocked GU Patrol. Time for a recovery lesson from the big man before all the rigs tackle the flex trails and we put the Gladiator through it's biggest test yet.

So good seeing a jeep getting a decent run on KZbin in Australia. They are so under rated, it’s ridiculous. Yeah, they ain’t the best for out back touring. But they are so good at what they are designed for. I love mine. Taking our JLUR to the cape in less then a month.

@@Jay151 hi mate… not yet. I have the 2.2 diesel. It’s a great little engine and very good on fuel. Its such a shame it’s been canned. Mine has all the mods and I was getting an easy 850 range out of 81 litres. I’ve literally just put 33s on it, it’s probably gonna drop to 750-800 judging by the figures I’m getting now. There’s a long range tank available, but weight is getting up there now.

Just came back in mine. No range anxiety up there. Just EFTPOS anxiety. I couldn't believe how dust proof it was.

@@Jay151 yeah. I can imagine. When the 2.2 was stock it was no BS getting high 6s-to low 7s on the Highway. With all the mods now it’s about mid 9s on the highway.

I could relate to the Ute stuck in the hole. Used to get bogged like that a lot in Botswana. I used to put a spare tire close to the vehicle in the hole and then run the recovery rope over the treat and lift it out of the hole. Was before Maxtrax was this easily available. Brilliant video.

An obvious follow on for this would be a one off spec X1 on 40's with off tap suspension, because even if your not "touring" you still need a camp at the end of a day of chucking some mud.

After I saw you guys in the US I new you would do a jeep🤟🏼🤟🏼the main reason I don’t think Aus embrace the jeep is our nanny ASR rules the limit what you can do. If you want more different jeep driving do the Shaquira desert trip in Oman. Look up Guide Oman tours. 3 day drive the the desert from Muscat to the sea. I have done it 5 times and loved it.🤙🏼🤙🏼

There's plenty of gear available to customise a JEEP. Hemi swaps, stroker kits, blower kits with 700hp output. The list is seemingly endless (except for the depth of the pocket in paying for all these extras)

Engine swap it with the motor out of a 300 series! I mean they come out with 700nm of torque From factory Just change it to a single ball bearing turbo and the Jeep would be an absolute weapon.

What gear ratio did you go in the diffs? I've run 40s on my jk for awhile. It's definitely not a powerhouse but still has plenty of power. Wipes the floor with most other 4wds on 35s and 37s still.

I dont get why Jeep decided not to bring the 3.0 V6 Diesel into AUS. I traded my petrol Gladiator for the Diesel and the torque on that makes the world of difference. Spins 40's like its nothing. Super cool video!!

Maybe a 4bt cylinder Cummins but not a inline 6. Too big and heavy for what these guys want to do. Lots of mud etc and the Cummins is heavy

FJ49 needs 37s, and hydro assist steering make life so much easier on the driver and FJ49.
