I'm taking notes from all your metal working videos. I just found a half inch of bondo on the left rear corner of my CJ2A. I'll eventually need to run the gauntlet on rust and damage repair... Congratulations on 500 subscribers.

I’m still finding hidden areas of Bondo.at least the it’s really easy to make patch panels,everything is really flat.Thankyou I’m still surprised anyone would watch, but I definitely appreciate that they do

Thankyou my friend, that has been working pretty well, I’m glad I don’t have to buy those 2x4s now. Tracie is always a lot of help on these projects.

Getting there! Great feeling isn’t it? You,re almost done now, but I found a couple of those straight edged welding magnets to be invaluable when tacking in those flat panels. Keep after it, looking good!

It is a great feeling, it goes from overwhelming. To all of a sudden it starts coming together. I need to get some of those magnets. Thanks for being here and being part of this

I'd really like to know the dimensions of your tub hoist platform, and more specifically, the wood you used over head to support the block and tackle, and the tub? I am getting ready to remove my tub and will have to build a similar structure. It would really help save time and money if I could "copy" yours. Thank you.
@royworks28
@royworks28 2 жыл бұрын
I can definitely give you the dimensions. It probably would be easier to do a video on it. I’ll do it as soon as I can. It’s all construction grade 2x4s and 2x6sx8’ long.

Nice job! What gauge sheet metal are you using?
@royworks28
@royworks28 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Matt, I think it’s 20 gauge, it was some scrap I had hanging around. So it’s either 20 or 18.
@NortheastVintage

@@royworks28 Thanks. Going to do the same with my ‘48 soon. The flat panels are going to be greats practice for me. Flux core or mig?
@royworks28
@royworks28 3 жыл бұрын
@@NortheastVintage I started with flux core then I upgraded 75/25 gas with MiG and it was cleaner welds( less grinding needed. I think both are equal strength. So if you don’t mind grinding a little more, flux core would be fine

@@royworks28 Thanks! You may want to check Amazon for 4 1/2" paint stripping wheels. That's what use, knocks off paint fast.
