I am getting ready to overhaul my whole cooling system as well. I also went with an aluminum radiator, but most importantly of all I feel was the KoolerFlow water pump. It sounds like it was made for my 2002 WJ. I did get a new clutch fan as well as an electronic fan motor as well. I might have gotten ripped off by the high flow thermostat to go with the waterpump but we will see. I don't want to have to get in there again any time soon so I am trying to be as thorough as I can. Thanks again for your videos and good vibe! See you on the trails... 0IIIIIII0

@@mondomikeg4921 I’m so glad I upgraded to the aluminum radiator. That mixed with the hood vents has made all the difference. My engine has not reached temps over the normal operating temp since the switch. I’m still running the stock water pump, but switched the 195 thermostat to a 205. The 195 opened too early and let cooler coolant flow through the engine prematurely. That cause the engine to not reach normal operating temp. Plus, the new radiator was bigger so there was more fluid in the system. I appreciate the feedback and good luck with your project!!!

Thanks for showing people how those rental tools work, most dont even realize they exist. Now I've gotta buy both when you return them...😅

Are you replacing the clutch fan when you reassemble everything or leaving it off?
@Fuelnomenal Жыл бұрын
No, because the new aluminum radiator will keep the engine cooler. If I was gonna us another stock radiator, I prob would.
