Do you think a high mileage 3.8 v6 is reliable or do you think I’ll be spending a lot of cash in repairs. The owner also did regular maintenance the engine as well.

I know this is an OLD comment lol hopefully you’ve figured it out by now… 3.8 is a FANTASTIC engine. They last forever, however it is really lacking in power. Although it has more than enough power to do pretty much anything. I would only buy the 6speed manual transmission, because of the power. I’d stay away from the automatic, since the manual transmission feels awesome

Ang ganda ng sasakyan na yan beshy. Ang ganda ng napili nyony kulay. Ang lakas at ang ganda ng dating. Super galing talaga ng asawa mo beshy magreview at mag-explain ng mga features ng sasakyan nyo. Ang galing nya magsalita. Direretso at alam na alam nya ung sasabihin nya.

So you think that 3.6L is a better engine just try to work on one even to change the spark plugs is a chore And dont even talk about that oil cooler and the oil canister what a piece of junk I will keep my old 3.8L with the tried and proven spin on filter that dont leak

I am a trades instructor at the local college and my fellow instructors say the new Pentastar 3.6 has more issues than the 3.8

@@jamesorsby7553 well, 2010 JK Rubicon vs 2016 JKU 75th Anniversary Edition probably the reason, the weight difference, maybe the differentials ? But 2010 only 4 speed, 2016 5 speed (NAG1), which I thought would yield better highway mileage.

That's why I am surprised, because the 3.8 engine models are heavier, and have a more rudimentary engine and automatic than the 2012 models and on did, so I'd think they'd be less fuel efficient by default. I own a 2011 Wrangler JKU that has a 3.8, but mine is a six speed stick shift, and it's not very fuel efficient, so I suspected that the automatics would be even worse.
