@jeep21535 жыл бұрын
Tony Villegas I don’t know what part of the south you live in, but I drive past anywhere from 10-20 jeeps daily. Don’t really think it’s a hassle to wave at them because you’re just sticking a few fingers up or lifting your hand out the window and it’s not a real distraction from driving

#1 rule of owning a Jeep Wrangler, whether YJ, TJ, Jk, or JL, love your Jeep. Do not like it. No not enjoy it. Love your Jeep above anything else in your life, save maybe immediate family. Your Jeep is your friend that will never do you wrong. Love your Jeep enough to do all your own modifications, upgrades, and repairs on it. Love your Jeep enough to never let anybody else wrench on it without you or never to let anybody wrench on it at all, save you. Love your Jeep enough to protect it all the time and let your Jeep protect you. Love your Jeep enough to keep it as long as possible. A decade of ownership should not be unheard of. My personal aim is to own the 1997 Wrangler Sport I bought new for the rest of my life. "Windi," is my love, my life, my dream come true. I will never betray her.

Indrid Cold got my dads old 2008 jk, my goals to keep it till it dies
@indridcold84334 жыл бұрын
@@corbinwarner2919 After it dies, there are thousands of aftermarket kits and parts to rebuild it. There is a kit to put a 5.7 liter Hemi V8 in JKs. There are many transmissions that will go behind a Hemi as well. I think even the stock JK transmission will go nicely behind a JK for awhile. You can build just about any Jeep, "universal," from catalogue parts from nothing. You can keep that Jeep for as long as you want, even after the engine lets go or something else happens. Jeep, "Universals," are infinitely supported with aftermarket parts from 1941 to present. Right now, the transmission in my aging Jeep Wrangler TJ is grinding when I shift gears. The original transmission is no longer produced because New Venture Gear went defunct a few years back and original parts are almost out. However, there is no fear. There is an aftermarket transmission for aging TJs made with Toyota interior parts called the Terminator AX-15. Toyota will never be out of business and so my vintage TJ will go on forever.

@@RCGJR_ The JKs and JL Wranglers are, indeed, lacking in reliabilty. They are over engineered and it is showing in the drop of Jeep Wrangler's reliabilty rate. The legacy Jeeps are still going very strong and have not been produced since 2006. I do not trust anything with the automatic engine stop and start design flaw. I repair way too many vehicles that have the origin of the issues in that horrible automatic engine stop and start design flaw. The JKs did not have that ridiculous design flaw. But the engine is always throwing error codes. I am surprised the JK and JL are not rated 1 out of 5 for reliabilty. The JK and the JL are not the super tough, supernaturally reliable, legacy Jeeps of the past. Then again, nothing Jeep makes is the super tough, supernaturally reliable legacy Jeeps of the past. Adding things to your wrangler can be cool to look at but don’t add anything unless you plan on using it. Take it from someone who has been a jeep tech for 26 years. Lifting, installing big tires and bolting a heavy winch look cool but they add extra stress to your jeeps powertrain and electrical system. So think about what you add before adding it. Take in mind 07- 18 model wranglers are pretty much glorified mini vans. They have the same engines and a transmission that only holds 7 qts of fluid so it doesn’t take much to over stress it.

A lot of Toyota fans saying to just buy a Toyota. 3.6L JK and JL will rack up miles without any issues which I’ve experienced firsthand as an owner. And a Jeep unlimited will out perform a taco on the rocks. Jeep is the standard for rock crawling and trail capability. There’s a reason why it’s called the Rubicon Trail, and not the TRD/Tacoma trail. And this thing ain’t expensive compared to a Duramax or Cummings that a lot of people drive lifted without using what’s it’s truly purposed for which is towing.

Nice Jeep man. I dont understand why the rest of the guys and gals keep calling it a mall crawler as a stock one will go almost anywhere you want to go. They are probably keyboard crawlers.😂 I love my 16 with 54k+ daily driven miles on it. No issues just regular maintenance. Thanks Fiat. 😜
