Never mess with the FJ. The Jeep looked very modified. The FJ looked pretty stock, just like mine.

I have an FJ and I’m definitely not a Jeep fanboy but that Jeep looks to be stock. Just some tires and front bumper.

FJ did well and was expected, air down next time and engage ATRAC.
@imkaneforever Жыл бұрын
How does atrac work? Does it function kind of like limited slips? I have a 07 6mt fj and I've used it before, but still not very sure how it functions. And being a manual, I'm a little less understanding of the function.
@RoyFJ65 Жыл бұрын
@@imkaneforever the trick is to keep the power steady, our natural instinct is to back off the throttle when we sense wheelspin. For ATRAC to work, you need to stay steady on the throttle and let ATRAC to the modulation of the spinning wheels via ABS and ECU and it works out quite well after training yourself. Usually the front wheel lifts and ATRAC handles that well while the rear diff lock takes care of the traction.

Definitely needed to air down on the FJ, those tires looked and acted stiff.
@coreyhaydar48483 жыл бұрын
We aired my Jeep’s tires and my wife’s FJs both down to 16psi . Should have went down to 13 or less looking back at it now .

Impressive to make it without airing down

Both amazing offroad vehicles , but the FJ is realiable like always , stock FJ car run forever if u do normal maintenance.

Not exactly a big fan of the jeeps but there are benefits to a solid front axle. That independent front suspension cant articulate as close even with the sway bar disconnected to a set up like the jeeps but non the less id still choose a fj because i just like things that work. My dad drives a jku and it went into limp mode several times all because of a valve cover leak.
@coreyhaydar48483 жыл бұрын
Haha that is me and my wife , I think if I had lockers on my Jeep , it would have been much smoother ! Also my Jeep is a 19 JLU Sahara with the turbo 2.0 .

What mods were on the FJ? Looks like the sway bars were still attached and they were running high way pressures?

We just put 33s and a 3.5inch lift. My Jeep had no lockers but had sway bar disconnects . Her tires were down to 16psi .

In the videos of the new broncos going up hells gate, the one that is still fully camo climbs up in crawl control. Both have the benefits, the manual has a super low crawl ratio in crawl gear low range. If you want that low low ratio manual is it. But I reserved a badlands with sas package 4dr auto with the 2.7L

Fj Cruisers get alot of hate. It is not something that the Off-Road Community should do. alot of things that I see wrong with this fj. ill describe a few, tire pressure, Chinese BOOF-ASS suspension(only 2 i recommend are King, and Bilstein), no bodychop, i run 32s on mine and did this with ease. i have a front and rear modified bumber which makes it alot heavier, but still runs like a dream. i dont like the fact that the guy driving his FJ looks like he was driving in H4.... NO SKID PLATES???? WHAT IS HE TRYING TO DO KILL THE DAMN CAR???

the jeep stunning, a Sahara perfectly driven without the locks I guess, how much easier it would be with my Rubicon.
@eda78753 жыл бұрын
the sahara had no issues with open diffs. Although it could have had aftermarket lockers. That sahara went up with no issues so your rubicon would go up just as good, not harder, not easier. This was a JLU not JKU.

independent front suspension.
@cenccenc9462 жыл бұрын
sway bar connected, plus those tires look way stiff.
@thatcoolcat12 жыл бұрын
going super steep makes the front shocks seem more stiff since they are carrying much less load, there would be much more articulation if they were going downhill
