The Trektop NX Black Twill Soft Top is an excellent choice for your Jeep so that you can enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, or be securely protected when the rain and cold weather come. Bestop designed this soft top with an open-air option by means of the Sunrider flip-back panel. In addition, the top arch bar spans over the driver seat to keep the top secure, ideal for reinforced protection from snow and heavy rains.
The Trektop NX has a 30-ounce, triple-layer Black Twill fabric, which is more flexible with a softer feel and superior cold weather performance than Sailcloth fabric. It is also furnished with 40-mil, DOT-approved vinyl side and rear windows with 18% tint to help keep the interior cooler during warm weather conditions.
Made for reliable protection and style, the twill fabric exhibits superior durability, while sporting an elegant, smooth, wrinkle-free appearance. The high-strength steel and tough thermoplastic polymer ensure that the Sunrider assembly can hold up well with the Jeep’s activities. Moreover, the aluminum top arch bars provide stable support to keep the soft top in its functional form.
The factory-style door surrounds facilitate a hassle-free installation together with the parts and components included. The moderately easy, bolt-on installation completes in a couple of hours.

My OEM soft top got damaged due to low garage height and I have to replace a rail . I think the JL design is ridiculously more complicated than Wranglers of the past . I will either replace it with a Hardtop or this Best Top Targa design it has to be an improvement .

That is the trouble : It is not completely convertible and no one offers something that does not require unzipping and pulling side panels out . The nearest you can get to a truly convertible top is the powered Mytop but then again it requires deep pockets 🤔

Serious question... isn’t the point of a soft top to make it easier to take on and off compared to a hard top? How long does it take to take the entire thing off, and put it on after the hardware is already installed?

installed mine over the weekend thanks to assistance with this video. pretty tedious tbh, how the heck do you secure the velcro above the soundbar?! also my rear right panel isn't aligning up and I managed to crack off the hook. anyone else have this issue? is the hardware alignment that sensitive. really bummed.

My wife and I want a soft top for our JL 2-door. After some online research, it looks like our options currently are: OEM (choice of two fabrics) Bestop Trektop (choice of two fabrics) I like the fastback design of the Trektop. It's quite a bit cheaper than the OEM but it doesn't retract all the way. For those who have the Trektop, do you have any regrets? Do you wish it retracted all the way back?

I couldn't be happier with my Bestop Trektop, I just take the windows off and flip the front half back, its like not having any top on at all, if a rain shower comes out of no where I flip the front half back down and I stay dry. I Love It.

Hi could you please tell the difference between the two 1. Jeep 4 door JL UNLIMITED SAHARA… mopar premium soft top ( came with Jeep ) Vs 2. Bestop ultra soft top twill….. R they same fabric ( premium and twill )

I purchased a new soft top for my Jeep wrangler through Extreme Terrain. The 4th time I went to put the top back up two zippers broke. I contacted them about the warranty and they said to send them pictures proving it was broken. I did that and they showed it was clearly broken. They would not send me a replacement until they received the broken one back. Then I was told the replacement would ship "as soon as" they see movement with the return. Meaning my vehicle had to be left exposed to and driven in the weather and rain. Once I sent the return I contacted them with the tracking information and was told now it would take two days before the replacement would ship. This is a terrible company.

Extreme Terrain and Quadratec were two of the greatest places for one stop Jeep mods, that was before the government force the country to shut down for covid19, after covid19 they are nothing but problems with bad customer service. Maybe with a little more time to get their work force back they will improve, cross your fingers but don't hold your breath.

The one for the JK had a way better design. No zippers, fully retractable, even a simple release to take it right off the jeep. Why such a downgrade? My OEM softop took some damage and this is the first one I looked for. Couldn't bring myself to "add to cart" for this one... sorry. Might have to rig something up and look around more... or just get another OEM. 🙄

If anyone in Florida does not want your 2-door JL hardtop anymore, I would be willing to buy this, bring it to you, help you remove your JL 2-Door hardtop, and instal this for you - all in exchange for your hard top.

You're pretty much looking at the same process except in reverse! I would recommend reaching out to Bestop directly to see if they have a set of dedicated removal instructions. Us here at XT do not though. -Zach

A hard top can still be put on a wrangler even though it has a soft top correct?

Absolutely! There's no physical difference in the body between a Jeep equipped with a hardtop from the factory compared to one equipped with a soft top from the factory. As long as you take the soft top and all of its hardware (the bow assembly, door surrounds, brackets, tailgate and header bar, etc) off before you attempt to install the hard top, everything will fit fine. -Zach

No roof racks are designed for a soft top. You will have to get a roof cage instead.

So is this supposed to be permanent? If I want to go from my hardtop to this soft top with a loctite prevent me from backing those screws out?

No, that loctite is easily backed out. Avoid the RED colored loctite....that the perm kind...the yellow that they use is used so the bolts don't back out as the top gives and takes....

I wouldn't consider this install permanent, but you would have to uninstall the soft-top hardware in order to re-install a hardtop. In other words, the factory hardtop will not fit over the soft top hardware if left installed. -Zach
