The only thing I didn't like about the metalcloak rear differential skid is there is no drain plug hole ...so if you need to drain the differential you have to take the skid completely off... did you look into the Rancho differential skids front and rear.

I did look at the Rancho ones as well. They probably are a great option too. Ultimately I felt the Metalcloak ones were slightly more rugged- not painted which will get messed up on the first trip to the rocks and I know a few people who have sworn by Metalcloak products. I also have the Metalcloak under armor skid plates (not installed yet). Thanks for watching.

I did not like the way the Rancho bolted in to the actual diff.I didn't want to smash the plate and have it torque on the diff bolts.I do wish that MetalCloak used Metric Nuts and Bold to make it easier to service on the trail without having to carry SAE tools as well.

I passed on the Rancho, way bigger than necessary and bolted on to flange they should protect. Need swaybar spacers for a JTR, though. Worth it.
