I think these videos are great! I especially liked seeing the camera angle while you were welding. I'm currently working on a long term Jeep TJ project and your channel has provided me with the most help when it comes to the frame. I'm hoping to see a video on the torque boxes because I have to replace those on mine as well.

The TJ rear from the factory was 2" higher to account for the hard top. The 2" spacer in the front levels stock TJs out. Almost all TJ lift springs increase spring rate pretty drastically so if you're completely stock it'll ride like shit
@MerryHornet76533 жыл бұрын
As far as welding around the gas tank, you didn't need to drop it and move it out of the way? All was safe obviously cause you did it. But I'm about to do this repair myself and I'm just wondering if its a good idea to do that or not. Awesome video! A lot of help.

You can replace that screen on the go pro.

Is it mandatory to do both sides? My drivers is gone but funny enough, pass is mint. I did buy the drivers side saftey cap. You’re vids are great. Ty for taking the time for sharing
@MorFabIndustries Жыл бұрын
I always do both sides but a lot of that is my need for symmetry. Also as a business I need to look out for liability. So I always do both.
@twofortyz1719 Жыл бұрын
@@MorFabIndustries understood. Ty. These jeeps are so fun to work on. Lol. Have enough welding wire on this thing to wrap around the earth twice.

I used to rebuild a lot of unibody rails on the 60's and 70's Fords and Mopars when they were rusting apart in the late 70's and in the 80's, When you start grinding I can smell the rust and when you weld I can smell the metal burning in! I just have to ask, Is that your Viking blue 1972 Cutlass convertible on the lift? That's an awesome car! Is Auto Rust Techs reproducing the G body GM car rear frame rails yet? I put a lot of those in over the years!
@MorFabIndustries3 жыл бұрын
Hey Danny! The cutlass belongs to a good friend of mine. I am building him an exhaust.

Think you may need to research what a bump stop does... most definitely need them!
@southavenueproductions18423 жыл бұрын
How you mount the bump stop cup or bump stop to that. I just got a Pocono Metal Craft spring bucket kit and its the same thing. It looks too long and not clear how you mount the actual bump stop.
@rashmedo2 жыл бұрын
Can you provide the link to where we can buy the perch
@jobeybruh29883 жыл бұрын
one question....how well do the mounts hold up with just welding the outside points? im a little concerned that if i do the same thing it wouldnt last long with just those outside welds.
@MorFabIndustries3 жыл бұрын
I also weld them to the underside of the frame. The only thing not welded is the inside tabs. All of the force is applied upwards to the frame so It is plenty strong enough!

MorFab Industries thanks man, just wanted to make sure I got a good deep weld.
@Mzandiotis2 жыл бұрын
3:05 maybe if the vehicle is never taken off road, but why would you risk that? In reality you completely need bump stops no matter your spring height, proper bump stop length keeps you from destroying you're shocks at minimum.
@anthonysinclair57213 жыл бұрын
I don't think your GoPro appreciates your great welds! 😁 For your GoPro couldn't you fabricate/weld a little light weight boxy helmet with a chin strap and design it so you can snap in place or duct tape in place a cheap piece of plain old window glass , which you can probably get almost free anywhere , get a $3 glass cutter and replace the glass whenever needed?!?!
