That's a beautiful TJ. So many have gone the way of subtraction by addition, but everything she added to it complimented the TJ soul, without taking away from it. Very well done.

Even when I was young 50 years ago most girls did not know how to drive a stick. I learned to drive in a 1963 International Travelall 1200 with a "three on the tree" when I was 15 years old. Learned how to pull and back up a trailer with it as well.

That's a really beautiful Jeep. All go....and done with quality. Not sure where they are from, i'm guessing NC with the Uwharrie talk at the beginning, but one thing they didn't mention, and probably have not had to fight, is rust. A 21 year old TJ on the east coast, even in NC is prone to rust, body and frame. Hope they haven't had to fight that too much!

What spacer height are you running above the front coil spring? Additionally, it looks like you added some pucks to decrease up travel for the bump stop. What is the height of that extension? Sorry for such detailed questions, but I have the same 1.25" body/motor and 2.5" OME lift. After watching this video I ordered 35s. Answers to these questions will help me dial in the front suspension in prep for the upcoming Easter Jeep Safari. Excellent build you have there!!!

Beautiful Jeep!, I've owned five TJ's. Love them. I can't believe 35"s fit on your Jeep and look so good, with only a 2.5" lift and a BL. I recently got an '04 Rubicon and am about to put a 3" lift on for 33-34" tires. Wondering if it be better to go with a 2" lift and 1" BL?
@DrivingLine3 жыл бұрын
Lower is better for sure. The control arms on the TJ are very short. So, anything you can do to keep the angle closer to stock, the better.
@eversleyowl3 жыл бұрын
My initial reaction was the same, surprised about 35s on an OME 2.5" SL and 1.25" BL. That lift combo is more usually paired with 33s. I guess this must be running a lot of bump stop, and the wheeling done does not require huge articulation. Is that about right?

Since she’s running 35’s with that lift is it safe to say without the body lift I could run 33’s? OME 2-2.5 inch lift like hers.

Yes. You can run 33s with 2.5 inches, no problem.

@@DrivingLine nice! Think it will rub off-road?
@DrivingLine2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the tire and wheel combo. Too much backspacing and you might find it rubs the lower control arms in the front. Too little backspacing (3.5 inch for example, and it might rub the plastic part of the flare when fully articulated.

Great Long lasting TJ but you're bumper's don't add much protection it seems And are your Aluminium Rick slider's even bolted to the frame if not they're trash and of course Steal is a lot stronger than aluminum by leap year's. weight savings notta 😂😆
@DrivingLine3 жыл бұрын
Most TJ rocker guards are designed to bolt to the tub, not the frame. The stubby front bumper and slim rear bumper are used less for protection and more for approach/departure angle increases. They also help cut down on weight. Aluminum is plenty strong and has become the most popular go-to for bumpers/skids these days as the weight savings is pretty substantial.
