I think the bolt on the steering box end is supposed to align with the flat on the spline. You should be able to see the dot on the spline through the slit in the coupler after install. This explains why the Jeep logo on my steering wheel is sideways when I am going straight. Thanks for the video.

I would imagine you could loosen the steering shaft inside the cab and pull the whole steering wheel assy. up away from the fire wall, thus giving you room to remove the bad part. quite a lot more time involved but you could do it

You ever pull the steering column out of a wrangler. You don't want to do it that way buddy trust me.
