I work before installing aftermarket internal throttle sistmens all made at machine shops and even on my 1958 Puch Shifter Rod made in Austria by Dailmer Mercedes, but your designed so far, is the MUST SIMPLE and easy to made, no machine shop tools require and less parts involved. Congratulations bro, you made the difference, excellent product.

I’m a little concerned how much it seems to bind, it’s not a gentle rotation, I would hate to get the throttle binding and not wanting to ease off

I have to ask. Is there anyway that this will NOT work for bicycle brake?
@jeep2003 Жыл бұрын
Brakes need a lot more leverage. This one barely worked to pull the throttle. You will have to make the slot at a very slight angle so it barely pulls the cable like 1/4" and that will give you a very small margin for them not to rub. So i dont think it would be good. Your much better off with a coaster brake if you dont want anything on the bars
@mortenhansen3455 Жыл бұрын
@@jeep2003 I just love the fact that I can hide cables like this grip can.. I'll see if I can work something out. I can see it in my mind, so It CN be done. Thanks for the response though, I hope you got it to work.

Sure bud. I did have to make the spiral a little less steep to get it to work smoothly but otherwise its been working well.

So a couple years in now, do you still ha e it on and how well does it work?
@jeep20036 жыл бұрын
Yes it still works I did have to make the ramp a little less steep for it to work smoothly so that gave it less throw and then had to deal with it on the carb end. Once its hooked up you have the cable and spring resistance working against it so it was a bit of a balance act to get it set up and working reliably.
@firstname32556 жыл бұрын
jeep2003 You should blue the spring and the other internals for it to last longer. Like they do with firearms. Maybe I shoyldnt of said "should" like that. You -could-.
@firstname32556 жыл бұрын
jeep2003 Also, would this work for any type of motorcycle?
@leadgindairy37092 ай бұрын
I love the idea of having this on both sides, on fotr the clutch as well. That is how I stumbled across this design feature of a internal mech, wanting to outfit my clutch with a throttle style cable.
@jeep20032 ай бұрын
I dont think that will work. Clutch takes way too much pressure. I had to put a super light spring on this one to get it to run smoothly.
