Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled Aadhaar-based Digital Life Certificate for pensioners. You need to purchase a UIDAI Certified Biometric Authentication Device which is very expensive (Price range Rs2000/- to Rs20,000 range) for making Jeevan Pramaan certificate as explained in this video. This super expensive process is not viable for the poor EPS95 pensioners who receive only a few hundred rupees pension per month. Bank can no more ask for aadhar card as per recent Supreme court judgement. Similarly government should scrap Life Certificate for pensioners also. Aadhar card has been made mandatory for making death certificate, and dead person's person's pension a/c gets automatically freezed as PPO is linked with aadhar. Crores of rupee's are wasted for processing Jeevan Pramaan certificate can be totally avoided.

Second alternative method is you have to go to main post offices in your city. Which they have their own biometric devices and will oblige your submission of Jeevan Praman for respective central government pensioners. They will charge for this process Rs70/- only.

The software and the process are cumbersome and required to be simplified. The process for simplification may be copied from Zerodha, GoldenPi and some other private banks who are more tech savvy than this software, perhaps got prepared by NIC. Face recognition software is most backward and it must be uptodated and updated immediately before next November 2023.
