Empressive, Jeannie is not part Chinese, she is FULL Vietnamese, however one parent is from North Vietnam & the other is from South Vietnam & according to Mama Mai, when she was coming up, that wasn't done, in fact it was forbidden. It was such a violation, Mama Mai's abusive father NEVER accepted Jeannie (her 1st child), in fact, they did their best to try to convince her to get rid of baby Jeannie & over the years, as her kids were growing up, her father NEVER showed Mama Mai & the grandchildren any type of love & kindness, so much so, even though he's an elderly man now, he still has NO REAL CONTACT w/them today. The family is soooooo largely volatile, abusive & disjointed, that these poor behaviors have bled themselves into the behaviors & lives of the next 2 generations. As an example, Mama Mai turned around & both physically, mentally & emotionally abused Papa Mai. Jeannie, who grew up watching this & being abused by her Mom, turned into both a rebel, running away from home at a young age & she became volatile, aggressive & an abuser herself. Jeezy fell in love with JEANNIE'S REPRESENTATIVE & over these last 2 years, he met the actual "Jeannie Mai" & knew it couldn't work bcuz he knows he cannot be in a relationship w/a woman w/so much serious emotional baggage, that manifests itself in the form of rage, violence, disrespect & control. Lastly, it's pretty obvious that the Asian Community looks to the White Community as their measure of success, beauty & what is right or wrong. They go out of their way to suck up to White people, often adopting their bigotry & beliefs, even though they themselves are not treated equal anymore than how Whites treat us Blacks & Native Americans the only ones who have been here in this country w/their asses since the BEGINNING of "The New World". Jeannie's views on Black men as a " side dish, while "White keeps her RIGHT", a.k.a. " Mean & Lean" 😒🙄, was her ATTESTING to 1 of her embarrassing, despicable TRUTHS, that inadvertently slipped out that episode, but ain't nobody no fool except 1 person & that 1 clearly has since woken up from his foolish slumber & that is why he's been sneakily planning on divorcing the girl for MONTHS!!! #TheTruthCannotBeHiddenForLong

Lesson for everyone needs to learn from this and I see so many couples go through it as well these days is STOP getting married so fast! Just because you date someone for a year or even 2 doesn’t mean you know what it’s going to be like with that person for the long haul, with kids, financial issues and all the stresses that come along with life and how that other person is going to deal with those. There’s no reason these days to jump into marriage.

They (preferences) SURE do market themselves AND the world at large views them that way though. Nowhere else quite like "HOME" in America does it better. The conversation that Jeannie Mai and her ALONE weighed IN about being more submissive was HER DOING. No one either asked Jeannie about ALL that or she could've even decided to say "next question" in an interview, if they ever DID. Rather or instead, she went BOLDLY into answering that ISH, intended to knock Black women, as they are the ones in tv land and elsewhere chided for not following their men as much. The "angry black woman" or "sapphire" trope is huge in media and movie plotlines, which continues to play off the masculinized version of women. Not that it doesn't exist, Black women may not often play submissive in movies, real instances but there are REASONS that get left out the conversation and that is never FAIR either. If folks wanna have an HONEST discussion, then they should HAVE it with ALL the relevant touchpoints and "cards" at that discussion table. What happens instead that is getting ignored, is that there are social causes for why some Black women CANNOT stay in their feminine energy or submissiveness if they tried. They may not be able to fully trust the man to lead, they may be left with responsibilities that need masculine energy to execute or complete, or other VALID situations/reasons. That not being given the proper attention and having Jeannie Mai choosing to discuss it was where she was doing more than she needed to. Jeannie weighed in on something, KNOWING she was 1/2 of a Black couple, so basically she was INADVERTENTLY addressing Black women and those that get that non-submissive critique. Instead of it being that there should be VALIDATION of all the factors that socially engineer others to think that those Black women that aren't submissive actually always WANT to be that way, it gets PERPETUATED instead. That is not the sum of Black women, they are not a monolith, and for anyone to think that sum of Black women being aggressive or non-submissive is accurate is wrong. It is not only wrong, inaccurate, but it kills off the potential for Black women to be in the right spaces, seen in ALL facets of their human condition. That viewpoint spread through direct or indirect talk...ahem.. isn't right and it "cheapens" the target that is Black women when someone brings it into discussion. Jeannie Mai and her ALONE played INTO that, by saying she was different, or was going to be that way to Jeezy, a Black man, so publicly kinda JUSTIFYING essentially why she got "chose" by Jeezy. Cyn Santana did it TOO, from a Latin standpoint, only to have whatever issues stemmed from issues with Joe Budden. Whether they are good now is not the point, it is the point that the "preferences" are pedestaled, they are elevated by Black men and society at large, as desirability politics plays into things, SO when they have their foot in their mouths, like NOW, they will be sympathized with more, as is what is also happening NOW. I don't necessarily applaud their breakup or want to see anyone hurt, BUT I won't jump to covet someone when it is widely known the narrative and PERCEPTION woulda bounced hella different if it wasn't that Jeannie was non-Black. Jeannie and Jeannie alone marketed that whole she wants to be submissive to her man story. Maybe she was just introducing conversation and inviting others to discuss a wider one, but she made herself look silly now, anger issues or not. Put accountability where it is, have a relationship and be CHOOSY about how much actually gets said to the press. Saying EVERYTHING down to what sex positions they gonna have is only going to leave NO RELATIONSHIP to be had. Folks who stay together longest do practice PRIVACY, something Jenny Mai's bigger mouth clearly didn't know how to do, and Jeezy followed suit trying to defend his new wife with the big mouth stuff she said prior to them connecting. Preferences get perhaps initial better treatment, BUT no matter what, she is still considered a "preference" and she had competitive energy when she made that comment about submissiveness, so she's eating her words or lodging her foot out her mouth now. Simple.
@frenchgirl5878 Жыл бұрын
They do get better treatment. Just because they get treated like shit too doesn’t mean it’s comparable to the way black men treat us.
@jennywakeman3267 Жыл бұрын
@@wordlifefactory1656 You made a lot of great points. Ppl don’t care to know actual reasons for why some bw aren’t “submissive, bcuz they don’t care about hearing anything about bw’s experience.” Basically misogynoir bcuz let a nonbw complain about her male counterparts (or anyone for that matter) giving them absolute hell and treating them like sh!t publicly on a mainstream scale and in daily life, and people will care. But bcuz it’s bw saying the same thing (even in the same tone as nonbw or even speaking calmly) and ppl just revert back to bw stereotypes to gaslight. And if we’re really being honest, the collective of black women, at least, are the most submissive compared to all races of women bcuz no one else would date/ marry down or have a critical mass of women being with treasonous self-hating men (globally) to put up with all types of ridicule and abuse, all for the sake of trying to appease their man. That is literally submission. Being fully compliant and giving your rights and power to appease others. Bm already get submission from a lot of bw. They just like to lie to the whole world. And due to patriarchy, ppl will believe a bm’s word over a bw's. But the few bw that don’t listen (and rightfully so) are waking up, but ppl don’t wanna listen to what we have to say. And the collective of nonbw literally don’t put up with any of this sh!t from men at all. They don't seem submissive.👀 And I never realized until you mentioned it that Jeanie Mai was indirectly taking a jab at black women with that submissive topic. And it was weird that she even brought that up a few years back, bcuz why would she talk about how she submits to her husband around the same timeframe as when bp were talking about submission online? It’s obvious she was very aware of what was going on in the black spaces of social media, especially YT since that’s where bm are the loudest. She wanted the attention on the urban blogs, which I believe is one of the reasons she got with Jeezy, and with how everything turned out, she’s getting exactly that (or bm are just going to stay quiet like they were when Adele was begging Rich Paul to marry her and give her a baby - I think she just wanted a mixed kid bcuz they’re “trending” nowadays but who knows? 🤷🏽♀). I noticed that when nonbw have attitude, curse people out, yell, etc., other ppl try SO HARD to not call them angry, aggressive, masculine, manly, loud, ghetto, etc. OR they’ll speak casually to the nonbw as if she didn’t lash out at all whatsoever. But if a bw who’s not even angry slightly raises her voice, disagrees with someone (with no malice & speaks in a casual tone) or if she even sounds remotely annoyed, people will use racist stereotypes or say some racial undertones like “calm down” or “I’m not trying to fight you” or something similar.

They way y’all are going so hard for Jeannie probably wouldn’t lift a finger to defend her if she was a black woman 🥱 next

@@Pink_pr1ncess Exactly if this was Summer Walker or another black woman they would be dragging her for filth for getting knocked up by a rapper with 3 baby mamas.

It just seemed like in every interview she was talking about her marriage to jeezy. Shit after a while i got tired of hearing about it especially when you never hear jeezy talking. Also Jeannie has spoken about falling out with her mom and running away from home and not speaking to her for years. She was molested by a fanily member and when she went to her mom her mom aint really believe her. The whole family dysfunctional and was probably acting up in his house and he wasnt with that.

Idk why she would let her mom mess up her relationship. (If that part is true). If her mom was toxic in the past she shouldn’t let her mess up her marriage

@@VirgosGroove3 I agree but sometimes when you come from that type of dysfunction you don't see it or feel it's normal. I have family I choose to stay away from and they can't seem to understand and have the nerve to be offended like they don't know what they have done. I would never let them live with me.

People should get counselling before and during marriage. Sounds like these issues could all be worked on. Marriage is work.
