The problem I notice is that, more often than not, is the entitlement mentality of kids and teens raised around money or of money, and I know if I had a lot of MONEY, and my children wanted something that I could easily afford it would be hard to tell them no hence encouraging the sense of entitlement which later becomes spoiledness and rebellious when they finally hear NO told to them.

*One of the most important things that I have done as an adult is decide to look at my parents as JUST human beings. I’ve sat and thought about their stories, their trauma and their pain, the things they’ve told me and the things they may never tell me and it has helped me to understand that they are just trying to figure out life like me. We put them on pedestals because they are our parents but above that they are just human beings. I don’t have a great relationship with my dad, I could hate him for it but I don’t because I understand that people can’t give you what they do not have, for him to better than his own parents he would have had to make an active decision to do so and some people either don’t have the insight, the know how or the ability to see beyond their own pain, having a child doesn’t erase our parents trauma and I love MYSELF enough to not hate them for that.*
@vickyserr
@vickyserr 7 ай бұрын
I resonate 100% what you wrote, this is why I’m able for it not to affect me so much as an older adult. We don’t have a handbook on how to love or parent, I love my parents for the people they are, none of us are perfect. I’m ok with the decisions my mother made and I’m not bitter, my father is a whole different story however when I look at his childhood I understand how he is. You are right, self love is the most important thing, once we do this, we won’t look to anyone else to validate us.

Other days I’m like this feels like So Much Work. And other days it feels like woman shouldn’t have to be this strong!!!! THRU AND THRU, that was a WORD!!!!!! Love how they both shared with each other on how to overcome whatever the other person was trying overcome or given each other better ways on how to handle things. I like how Nia touch on forgiveness because forgiveness plays a major role when walking through a healing journey and forgiveness isn't for the other party its for self/you. This was Awesome!!! I don’t think I have ever seen a black man communicate as clearly as Jeezy. What I mean by that is, the ability to be open, honest, vulnerable, say exactly what it is etc. this is inspiring. I also remembered seeing comments about this so-called chemistry between him and Nia. I watched this entire interview, and what I saw was simply two grown adults having a real conversation. I think the internet is always quick to stir up drama and make insinuations. Neither of them crossed any lines of flirting or anything. It was very professional and very real.

I had my reservations about watching this but those quickly went away as this conversation unfolded. I feel in debt to both these two, for allowing us to witness vulnerability, transparency and authenticity from people in the industry. This was beyond dope.

..i felt th same ..because not everyone wants to be nosey tryna find out more answers about their divorce scandal ..thas their personal business & my reservations stemmed from my respect for their business being their own by not jumpn on th nosey gossipn bandwagon, if that makes sense ..those reservations were put to rest once th realizations came into play, that is about way more than th recent gossip ..the transparency & vulnerability let us in a little, to who they are deep down underneath alla th flashing lights of th industry & steered us away from all of th latest rumors & speculations in th opinions of others. Him being one of my top few fav artists of all time & her being one of th greatest souls to walk th stage only increased my utmost respect, love & admiration for them both individually. This was a much needed dialect ..they truly delivered🥀🖤✨️

I think this was a beautiful open therapy session for all of us. Love to see it 🖤 they don’t want the black man to educate other black men but do it anyway! That’s your power Jeezy.
