Yeah, that is very true, he was starting to gain poplularity and to people new to the sport he wasnt known as that dirty rider who took people out/rode dirty. He cleaned up his act and was trying to prolong his career in racing, but unfortunately his dad and brothers stupid actions might cost him his career after this. Its a shame, considering his dad ruined his relationship with Honda, Suzuki, and KTM by being a supermini dad through his pro career.

And the penalties are in: $10,000 fine & probation to the team rider ((Mile Alessi), a $5,000 suspended penalty to rider that is not payable unless he messes up his now probationary status. Tony & Jeff Alessi suspended from AMA motocross events ... Jeff indefinately, Tony for remainder of year. Jeff fined $500. Moto Concepts credentials revoked until Mike pays his fine. Mike stripped of points for that day.

Wow, after watching the FPS view of his helmet cam, and seeing that it was a green laser diode (which can be very damaging to the retina in comparison to red (it has to do with the wavelengths our eyes can see), Jeff Alessi should be banned from AMA racing for life.
