I took a lesson from Jeff in 12 - 1987, and he truly opened up my view on jazz bass soloing / improvisation. Truly one of the underated electric bass giants out there. I still refer to that recorded lesson after 20 plus years. He is "SOLID" all the way.

Bassist Jeff Andrews, one of my all time Favorite Bass players. Great musician. Excellent Bass Instuctor. If you get Jeff as your Electric Bass Instructor, what a blessing that will be for whom ever. Basskat Detroit MI.

He sounds more like Jeff Berlin than Jaco to me. I love that relentless motivic development.

@MrOxipower it is a modified fender Jazz (not sure if it is a short scale p-bass) neck with a badd ass bridge ii and probably different jps and a another preamp

Yep, had to learn that one from playing the upright. 4 hours is a LONG time to wrestle one of those beasts and the skin oil helps, some. You still get blisters.

It's his 1965 Precision,,he (actually don't know if he did it,,maybe someone like Roger Sadowsky) modified it with 2 jazz bass pickups, 4 knobs and a Badass bridge...his main axe for many years..RIP Jeff.gone too soon..

Jaco on a P-Bass.
@soeffingwhat9 жыл бұрын
+MrDrys Its actually a P-Bass with 2 Jazz Pickups, which is most unusual, except for Squier's old 5 String Precision Bass that had 2 Jazz Pickups too.
