Seems like a genius song writer and a very warm person.

It would have been absolutely fabulous if the people who sang the songs shared in the enormous well wealth that they produced. Instead groups like the Shangri-La's were paid a paltry hundred dollars a week regardless of how many millions of dollars the songs they interpreted and poured their heart into in the studio . they even had a 360° contract on all of their girl singers meaning everything they did rolled back into Greenwich and her husband. Even the concerts! the girls got nothing but paid transportation. Greed greed and more greed was what came out of there manipulating these young minors many of them under 18 by the time they had left the business, sick of the fact that they worked so hard and got virtually nothing in return. One of the Shangri-Las apparently took her life at age 22 out of depression and desperation at generating so much wealth but leaving broke. Ellie Greenwich and her former husband are dead now. No one saw a Brinks truck following the hearse to the cemetery. What a fitting tribute it would've been if they had shared some of the wealthiest kids provided them with.
