For anyone interested. The picture in this song is wrong. This song was originally released on the album "In My Life" by George Martin (who produced the Beatles.) It was a collection of cover songs of the Beatles. Including songs by Sean Connery and Robin Williams. It's an amazing album!

For so long, I wanted to be able to play whatever I felt, on the guitar. Eventually, I realized that I wanted to sing through the guitar as my voice. I initially tried to play as Janis and failed, but not without a huge amount of knowledge and understanding gained. This guy is a giant. Jeff is bigger than any mountain. I wish I had a tremolo bar... or at least the control of the volume and tone knobs as dynamically as his.

While I absolutely adore Jeff Beck's instrumental rendition, as well as the decision to use it in the film, part of me really wishes they would've done a full cover with the film talent. Jim Sturgess doing the dream sequence part, Joe Anderson doing the "awake" section, and Martin Luther McCoy on guitar would've been a masterpiece I'm sure.
