Jeff Beck never disappoints, he would make a Carpenters song sound tremendous, the man is simply a pros pro, and always assembles fantastic musicians. If your lucky enough to play with him then you can play with anybody.

I have just watched about 6 different live versions of this track by Jeff Beck and EVERY ONE OF THEM sounds completely different. . but they are all the same tune. . !! AMAZING improvisation and originality - every time! What a master, to play the same thing. . . but make it totally different and original every time

There are always derogatory comments about the audience. But these are industry professionals of a certain age - they've seen it all and many will know Beck personally or have seen him many times over the decades. I feel their 'dead' reaction during the tunes is merely them fixated on what is happening. I've seen Beck several times and was exactly that - fixated. Oh, and the audience is British, not American. So not whistling, shouting and throwing beer when the band is playing. 🙂 BTW, though other band members are mentioned in the comments - Rhonda Smith (ex-Prince) on bass and Veronica Bellio drumming (Jeff found her on KZbin) - the keyboardist is omitted. That is Pete Drummond, who arranged string parts and conducted the 18-piece orchestra Jeff used on some live dates as well on his 'Emotion & Commotion' album, on which Drummond also played keys.
