The only guitarist I know of who was very literally better at the end of his life than during his early career. Beck never stopped evolving and improving. Absolute creative brilliance. God knows I'm gonna miss him!!

Rory is the man. I was only 10 when he passed and my Old Man was crushed. Some years later we got to see Beck at BB King's in NYC. We weren't superrrr into him, but I believe he payed with his daughter on bass and it was an incredible show.

Jeff Beck was one of the best guitar players ever. He was super talented. The problem is ..... his "songs" sucked! It's really little more than just noise. I don't think in his entire career he's come up with a song you can actually sing to or even hum. It's a shame he couldn't put his great skills together with making music rather than just noise.

I remember being 5 years old and my Dad keeping me up to see this. It was mind-blowing then, and even more mind-blowing now. We used to listen to Guitar Shop every morning on the way to school. Such great memories. Got the opportunity to see him live in 09. An absolute giant of innovation, virtuosity and sound. The news this morning was a bummer, but it's not until watching this that I've realised how hard it's hitting. RIP Jeff Beck. There'll never be another.

He was playing concerts up to very recently that were amazing people at how powerful his playing was...at almost 80!! The way he was always out there left the impression he was going to keep going for a long time yet. There was no other player like him who just kept killing it as long as he did. I wish he would have kept playing until he was 100 and it felt like he just might have. At least to me it did

Beck loved to share the spotlight, one of the things I loved about him. He would bring out superstars and unknowns and give them a chance to play for millions of people live and in TV. He wanted everyone to shine, enthusiastic about music to the end.

Always the innovator, always finding new sounds, that's what I love about Jeff Beck, grateful to have seen him live several times.
