it sings, it talks, it questions, it answers, IT SCREAMS, it cries, it lives, it dies, it flies to space, it flows with grace... it is JEFF BECK.

I saw Jeff Beck April 24 2010 and it was the best concert of my life. Watching him on videos is badass. But when you see some one like that live it is out of this world. If anyone has not seen him live I recomend you Go. Even if you have to travel to see him. It's worth it.

The greatest and most inventive rock guitarist on the planet today. The second greatest rock guitarist of all time after the master who we lost almost 37 years ago.

Beck blows me away. Amazing technique, especially the right hand. The sounds he extracts from that Strat are otherworldly. I remember the original lineup on this song, including Jan Hammer on keys. Classic fusion.

Japan I believe...the drummer you ask of is the one Modern Drummer has voted as the best "all around" drummer numerous times. That would be Vinnie Colaiuta. He's lead the way for over 25 years now.

If you're talking about typing, building an engine, framing a house, or being a short order cook, or maybe a pitcher, a quarterback, or running the100 yard dash, then it's easy to say who's the best because those things are measurable by hard numbers. But music is so subjective that the variables run into the billions, and it becomes impossible to say that anybody is best. No one person's opinion is any more (or less) valid than anyone else's. Enjoy what you like, and don't worry about it.

Big 'ol Snahzedr Nose! All the better to smell his genius with. One of my favorite Beck tunes from the old days. I'm a young guy so I'm more in touch with his last few albums. But Blue Wind is simply a timeless piece. I also like Led Boots from the same album(Wired). My co-worker just turned me to TRUTH. I didn't realize that Jeff jammed with Rob way back when. I'll take Beck over Clapton any day. He seems to be much more aggressive than Clapton. Though that's just my opinion.

I noticed him shaking his hands quite a lot during his Auckland concert and I wondered whether he was just loosening up or whether he suffers from Overuse Syndrome... He's been playing a long time and unlike a lot of other guitarists, he doesn't break for vocals.

There's a lot of older Jeff Beck stuff (mostly in black and white) on youtube with the JB group, Rod Stewart, with Carmine Appice. I think he was incredibly good back then. For the most part I'm not a fan of his later stuff. Songs like Where Were You are amazing though. I think the turning point is when he abandoned using a pick in most of his playing. Just my opinion...

NO Jeff Beck DOESN'T play by any formula, that IS the point, and what separates him from everyone esle anyone who plays guitar, who is respected, well Jeff Beck is concidered the most repected by all his peers. He influenced them all. He'll he was just voted BEST OVERALL GUITARIST, 2008 . I know the man he's humble, and magnificant!ok fezzappa, BTW I play guitar also.
