Jeff is such a great melodic guitar player I get chills when he plays the guitar. I think Jeff has got to be 77 years old now, yet he still plays with the energy of a much younger man. This concert is from 2018, so he must have been 74 years old and his performance was still top notch. His career is an interesting one and in many ways musically diverse and always innovative.

I first saw Jeff Beck at a Day on the Green in Oakland, in the 70's. Then with Stevie Ray Van at the Oakland Coliseum. Concord Pavillion with Santana and two other times. The Warfield Theater in S.F. Paramount Theater in Oakland. Marin County Auditorium, three nights in a row! Napa Valley at a small theater. In Saratoga at a Winery, with ZZ Top! Now countless shows on KZbin. (!) Awesome, thanks Jeff for all the inspiring music over the years.

@paulanthonyguy2 жыл бұрын
@@hubbsllc Exactly. When the overall length of the string (bridge to tuner) is shorter, you don't need to bend as far to raise the pitch a given amount. (With a Floyd with locking nut, it makes no difference, as the part of the string from nut to tuner is taken out of the equation.)

Last time I saw Jeff live was in Spring 1999 at Dallas Starplex touring behind his Who Else album. I'm glad I have THAT concert memory etched in my brain rather than something like I see here.

Ahhh, thanks for putting it up. Just a little remark: if the drummer plays a solo, dont fokus on the guitar player (sorry, I'm a drummer ;-) )
@Gregorypeckory2 жыл бұрын
You're lucky with random KZbinrs putting up concert videos, to get one who can even identify who is soloing at a given time. Plenty of videos feature shots of the drummer during guitar solos, the guitarist during bass solos, and the bassist during drum solos, and every other possible random choice of shots. It makes me wonder why they were even there, if they can't even tell who is playing, but I guess the random excitement somehow grabs them, just not any pesky details such as which instruments are making which sounds.
