Wise men say It looks like rain today It crackled on the speakers And trickled down the sleepy subway trains For heavy eyes could hardly hold us Aching legs that often told us It's all worth it We all fall in love sometimes The full moon's bright And starlight filled the evening We wrote it and I played it Something happened it's so strange this feeling Naive notions that were childish Simple tunes that tried to hide it But when it comes We all fall in love sometimes Did we, didn't we, should we couldn't we I'm not sure `cause sometimes we're so blind Struggling through the day When even your best friend says Don't you find We all fall in love sometimes And only passing time Could kill the boredom we acquired Running with the losers for a while But our Empty Sky was filled with laughter Just before the flood Painting worried faces with a smile

Every time I listen to him, I feel like im dreaming or something? His voice, playing style...just very ethereal. Im a self proclaimed "Buckhead" lol...Idk if that's an actual thing? Jeff Buckleys legacy will never be surpassed, only here like a shooting star across our musical sky...burned out way too quickly. U2 frontman Bono summed up Jeff in one swift and digestible quote, "He was a pure drop, in an ocean of noise"!! Who knows really the conjecture surrounding his future in music, he was multifaceted and of course notably talented in all arenas of his gift towards music....in saying that his diversity would have carried him far. Jeff was uncomfortable about the connection (musically) with his father Tim, but both have made huge contributions to music...all because of their flexibilty and dire need to translate their experimental genius for all to witness and share. Long live both Buckleys...you rocked our world with your humility and grandeur ..we are grateful!!

He had the brilliance of the self taught as opposed to the overly trained classical opera or art song singer with absolutely flawless technique. There are some small glitches and imperfections in his voice despite its absolute transcendent quality which on occasion make the voice sound a bit pinched because the transition from chest to head voice is different in a rock singer. Most of his falsetto range is incredibly open and big but on OCCASION and I mean RARELY there is the slightest bit of a struggle to reach those big beautiful notes and I've never heard ANYONE else who's high falsetto range was so open and big. The occasional just slightly noticeable struggle to get to that purity, that smallest of flaws in what would otherwise be a completely translucent diamond, is what gives his voice that extra "edge". Jeff Buckley was above all else a rock god in waiting but one with the purest and most ethereal soul to ever reach for that crown. He wore it all too briefly but now he wears it in eternity. Rock, soul, pop, folk, blues, country, American standards - Jeff could sing it ALL but it ALL had the brilliance and the yearning and the passion of the self taught. Jeff may have gotten some good genetic material from his biological father but his drive, passion, influences and adaptations were all his own. He was in many ways far too pure for this world.

How did I just discover this amazingly beautiful musician just now? ( I just watched the movie "My Sister's Keeper' and had to immediately go and look up the song that played during the final credits. I then went on to look up more songs and info on the artist) Beautiful musicianship. and I'm so sad to discover that this lovely voice and guitar playing (and face, becuase wow very beautiful handsome guy) belongs to someone who passed when I was 15 years old.

He's the only singer/artist that makes men talk about loss/love/sensitivity/beauty/vulnerability/heaven/angels/heart/anguish/longing/melancholy/wishing/god-he was certainly one of the very few, whatever that means. I think his fans know. Yea life and death can be so cruel!
