Lyrics:
Twenty-nine pearls in your kiss
A singing smile
Coffee smell and lilac skin
Your flame in me
Twenty-nine pearls in your kiss
A singing smile
Coffee smell and lilac skin
Your flame in me
I'm only here for this moment
I know everybody here wants you
I know everybody here thinks he needs you
I'll be waiting right here just to show you
How our love will blow it all away

"I'm still not comfortable with what I do. Every time I get home after a show, I feel really strange - like when you wake up in the morning and you realize that you went out the night before, got high, and told some stranger all the most intimate details of your life. It's kind of embarrassing." - Jeff Buckley ♥

+katherinaJee55 I was introduced to Jeff Buckley's music in 1996 and he died the next year. I was so totally devastated that I wouldn't be able to see him in concerts after that. It would have been really great if he had chosen to be getting old as we do but then again, this world is too incensitive for the musicians like Jeff...

+Dragir Tully I know of course. Did I say Jeff killed himself? That is the last thing I wanted him to have encountered in his life. But what else can we do? We can just listen to his beautiful music and mourn.

Do not forget that the time will come ,when God will bring the majority of the dead...including Jeff ..The Bible says: “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15) .Now the question arises...are we alive at that time ? But I am very happy ,I know that Jeff will be a new opportunity, that makes me being happy...he say in end of one video..." just to be in the world, really."..jB ♥

29 pearls in your kiss A singing smile Coffee smell and lilac skin Your flame in me 29 pearls in your kiss A singing smile Coffee smell and lilac skin Your flame in me I'm only here for this moment I know everybody here wants you I know everybody here thinks he needs you I'll be waiting right here just to show you How our love will blow it all away Hmm, such a thing of wonder in this crowd I'm a stranger in this town You're free with me And our eyes locked in downcast love I sit here proud Even now, you're undressed in your dreams with me Oh, I'm only here for this moment I know everybody here wants you I know everybody here thinks he needs you I'll be waiting right here just to show you How our love will blow it all away I know the tears we cried Have dried on yesterday The sea of fools has parted for us There's nothing in our way, my love Don't you see, don't you see? You're just the torch to put the flame to all our guilt and shame And I'll rise like an ember in your name I know I, I know I I know everybody here wants you And I know everybody here thinks he needs you I'll be waiting right here just to show you Oh, let me show you (I'll be waiting right here just to show you) That love can rise, rise just like embers Love can taste like the wine of the ages, oh babe And I know they all look so good from a distance But I tell you I'm the one I know everybody here, well, thinks he needs you Thinks he needs you And I'll be waiting right here just to show you

Damn, this song captures what it feels like to find beauty through sadness and isolation.. Especially when you know you can never get what you want.. I think the video highlights how the lady is desired by most of the men she passed by at the airport but she is haunted by the man of her dream (Jeff Buckley).. But she can never have him since he is no longer alive.. That kind of feeling makes you wanna curl up into a suitcase for sure.. Beautiful video for a beautiful song

True story about this song.. Jeff never wanted it to be released and had the producer hide the tapes... And when he died Sony demanded all of the tapes be turned over to them... Jeff was worried that people would think he was trying to be Lenny Kravitz... And the irony is Jeff was nominated for a Grammy for the song for best male vocalist, and he lost to Lenny Kravitz

This song is genius on so many levels. Video was a let-down. This song makes me think of a sky thick with swifts. Or a tree frog singing his heart out, and terrified no one will hear. Or a party in New York with a women radiantly bathing in the attention of her sophisticated suitors, while a guy in jeans both insecure and confident takes his shot.

White people are the best musicians. The Western world, including rap and R&B, are made using our standards, our instruments, our creations. It boggles me that people think the race who created orchestral masterpieces can in any way be supplanted. The people who made realistic paintings, realistic statues, and the best stone buildings... White people things.

@@aidanmcmillan-dx8lq you can not be serious with this. If this isnt irony, then thats an awful, narrow-minded take. Just because all the art youve seen and respect is from white people, doesnt automatically make white people superior in creating art. Art is diverse and comes from all over the world, the great pyramids of giza are the first that come to mind but there are countless examples

I totally agree. While I am a Muse fan ( the old Muse i must say,not the rubbish they are today), Jeff Buckley is in another level. His vocals, range, lyrics, music are far superior than Matthew's. Let's not even talk about the emotional resonance of Jeff. He is surreal, magnetic. While I love Matt Bellamy, he doesn't stand any chance of being a Buckley successor.
