I watch this every couple of years and still - what a lap.

That was an incredible lap. Perfect line into corners and a mixture of aggression and patience when getting on the throttle.

i like ut when at 1:45 they both say in sync "A NEW TRACK RECORD" must not happen often b.c they sounded real excited :D JEFF GORDON IS THE MAN
@moye4116 жыл бұрын
its amazing how much more aggressive u could be with the old car as opposed to the cot

Back when they actually told you their performances. So much better back then.

Damn, the acceleration of these cars once they get past 40-50 mph!

These were the good days....when Gordon was beating Johnson.

If you think this is amazing, wait till 08 when he actually gets to Qualify in the COT at Sonoma. NEW RECORD! JEFF FOREVER!
@nascarfanatic242511 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Speedways have kinda been a weakness of Jeff's in 2005 and 2008, but they seemed to be his stronger tracks the last couple years, ironically. Road courses, he's been hard to compare to at Sonoma, but Watkins Glen has been ugly.

It's too bad the race didn't go as well for him. The Road Courses hurt Jeff in points in 2005.

I'm kinda paraphrasing what Jeff said in the one scenario on the Dodge Challanges of NASCAR 07.

He has a personality you dumb fuck. You just hate him because he wins, wins, and wins.
@osurocks246 жыл бұрын
Oh thank you. I'm not the only one. I miss when he couldn't win championships and he's annoying as heck. No personality and cocky as heck. I hate his interview when he acts he's better than everyone.

Jimmie may have 5 championships, but that doesnt make him better than gordon. Jeff has 10 road course wins to jimmies 1. Road courses are a true demonstration of talent. Now you see why jimmie only has 1 lol

NathanRyanAllen so Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch are better than Jimmie?

He wouldn't have 1 if Marcus Ambrose didn't shut his car off saving fuel under caution going up the hill at Sonoma

The road courses??????? Now I'm a die hard Gordon fan. But he was complete and utter shit at the speedways. He and Robbie just couldn't figure things out.
