I'm sorry Jeff to say this , you sounds better when your not playing the guitar you seems more relax n your voice sounds better. And probably the microphone you are using is different from X Factor.

It's not the microphone, it's usually the sound system in general & the acoustics of the Room.... On the X-Factor the sound system was made for the Room & the microphones were just amplifiers for the Voice.... Jeff sounded as good as the room & sound system allowed for.....
