True Australian hero. I have never seen any athelete look in so superbly conditioned as Harding for his first fight against Andries, the spring in his step at the end of each round was incredible. Now showing the same sort of courage out of the ring as he showed inside of it. Respect for an Oz legend.

He was in incredible condition. He wasn’t even breathing heavily between rounds the whole fight. It was unreal to watch Andres suddenly gas out. All of a sudden every punch that Jeff threw impacted on Andres like a sledge hammer.

I met you Jeff at Newtown around 84. When Mr Lewis went for a run with the boys, I always remember you running in your cut off Bulldogs jumper...and always leading the pack back to Newtown pyyc...by a country mile. We had 2 awesome Jeff's, Fenech and Harding Both tuff nuts. 89 what a year of best fights. JF v MV then JH v DA and then JF again against MM. Great memories of the fights and there still legends. Hope your doing well Jeff. Cheers

My fave Aussie fight of all time. Fenech v Payakaroon, Tszyu v Juda however it was this fight against Andries that did it for me. Jeff is in the fight of his life right now and he has the heart and strength to overcome this battle just like he did against Andries all those years ago.

When Jeff said he was never taught to get out of the way of the bloody things,'' Andries Punches'', I have heard the same thing a few times about Johnny Lewis. Fenech said he was not taught any Ring Craft by Lewis, and got by on pure skill and Grit and fitness. A trainer of mine;; Bruce Farthing',' who was a very good Australian Light Heavyweight, said Lewis never had a fight and couldn't teach anything. And when Kostya came over teaming up with Lewis was a big promotional thing , as Tszyu already had over 300 Amateur fights and he already had his own style.

I used to follow Jeff's career as I loved his all ticker attitude in the ring. Then I met him. Drunk, sloppy, aggressive and disrespectful as all fuck. Sometimes it's better not to meet your hero's.
