I agree with this. Here in Colombia, we didn't have local TV networks broadcasting WWE shows but on cable we had Mexican and Costa Rican channels showing even ppv a week later for free. The day hardy won the championship, so many classmates were talking about that. People were really excited about it. Besides, it was the go to character to choose from WWE 200x games

YESSS!! I've been waiting so long for this review. For an early Christmas present in 2008, my mom surprised me with tickets for this show. We were living at my aunt's house in Niagra Falls, barely had any money, and yet she was still able to scrounge up enough cash to buy tickets for this show. I remember 8 year old me going absolutely bananas when Jeff Hardy won the belt. Me and my mom were jumping up and down hugging each other as his theme played. One of my fondest memories and it's something I will never forget.

This show brings me huge mixed emotions personally. Jeff Hardy has always been my favorite growing up. Born in '94. I was a Jeff hardy guy, my sister loved Lita, and my mom loved Matt. My father was a stone cold guy, looked just like him as well lol. This was the date my father passed, same year. It happened a couple of hours before Jeff's win, so it just was always odd to me. What a day.

Jeff winning the WWE title was such a feel good moment it's a shame that he only held it for a month. I think the reason that 08 was such a down year was due to it being a year of change within WWE from the HD sets to the PG Era officially beginning in July of 08. Even as I watched it all unfold at the time all of the changes felt like wiplash.

I had so much Nostalgia for that time period, but what Brian says about the writing is pretty accurate, mostly after Great American Bash and the programming went PG. I actually gave up before Cyber Sunday because the novelty had worn off and I was so bored. It’s true what they say, you can never go home again.
