Jeff is a hero of mine. Many people enjoy art, but very few understand what it’s like to be an artist at that level of creative ambition. It is incredibly difficult to explain yourself to anyone when you’re working on something even if you’ve sold work before. People will think a good artist is ‘weird’ but that artist sees the world as ‘weird’ in ways most people will never know. It’s easy to marginalize an artist, but just try to make something that speaks to people in that way - try to make a work of art that can be genuinely admirable by many people. Try it and see what it’s like. No you say? Exactly.
