Greg Walker has one of the most amazing voices. And Jeff became one of the most succesful Keyboardists since his first release. My favorite

I first heard this song on an FM station from Spokane, WA in ~1982 when they'd play jazz on Sunday mornings. I'd always keep a pen & paper handy when they'd go over the set list. I discovered a lot of good music from those Sunday mornings.

First heard this piece on radio station KIFM 98 in 1982 ... it was frequently played on an evening program called 'Lites Out San Diego' ... hosted by the one and only Art Good of Smooth Jazz fame. A lot of great contemporary jazz pieces emerged during that era.

I've been looking for this one forever! Brings back memories of when my family first returned to Barbados in 1982. A DJ on one of the local radio stations named Mike Alleyne (he's now a music professor in the US) played this regularly on his 2-6 pm afternoon shift.

I may not have the answers, no I don't know everything. But I simply know I need you, I can't keep it locked up deep within, cause it's you, oh only you. It's a fact, I love you, you can bet on that, it's a fact, I've got to win you back. It's a fact, I love you, and you can bet on that, it's a fact, girl I want you back. It's a fact, I love you, you can bet on that. You know that I been searching for a lifetime. Hoping for a dream like you, You help me find the answer, No one does it to me like you do. cause it's you, oh only you. It's a fact, I love you, you can bet on that, it's a fact, I've got to win you back. It's a fact, I love you, and you can bet on that, it's a fact, girl I want you back. It's a fact, I love you, you can bet on that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh yeah. cause it's you, oh only you yeah. It's a fact, I love you, you can bet on that, it's a fact, I've got to win you back. It's a fact, I love you, and you can bet on that, it's a fact, girl I want you back. It's a fact, I love you, you can bet on that. (Repeat until fading.)

This vibe, this era - 80s 'Smooth Jazz' or whatever they called it then....such a distinct, smooth sound. I was a kid listening to Van Halen and all that, but this stuff caught the ear of a true music fan like me. We don't hear this level of sophistication now. Hate to sound like an old dude but it's a fact ;)

I met Jeff Lober at a Jazz festival and I ask him why he didn't have this song on his greatest hits. He because he that it was corny. I said this was the jam. I should have went more in depth to why this song means so much to me. I was in the Navy came home on leave to Cleveland Ohio. I think it was in the summer and the radio station was playing this song a lot. So every time I hear this song it reminds me of home.
