Mike you're so right. Jeff Mills was best techno DJ ever! I saw him a few times. British wise, Dave Clarke & Carl Cox came a close 2nd. The only thing that gets in the way of this awesome set is Pete Tong's voice, the destroyer of dance music in this country!

Patrick Donelly: Check, should of said 'is' instead of 'was'. He is vinyl and slams them straight in. Fast and relentless. Who cares if beats are sometimes slightly out. He brings it together within a nano second. He doesn't waste precious moments lining up next record. He ain't got time for that. He does it in front of you! That's when you witness the unique art of Jeff Mills and arrive in the Zone! I was techno mad in the 90's. Couldn't get enough of it. Still love it now. Dave Clarke was great, threw in an electro slant. Carl Cox, tight as f**k. Adam Beyer, Surgeon, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Ben Sims, The Advent (bloody hard techno). Sven Vath, if you can wait an hour to get proper get into it is brilliant. DJ Ronaldo from UR totally blew me away. Dropped 'Numbers' by Kraftwerk and the place f**king erupted! Loads more... But Jeff Mills is something else. He is a genius on the decks and takes you to another level... He is the best. Said it in 94' when I first saw him and have not changed mind since..!! Take care

I was lucky to witness The wizard Jeff Mills alongside Lenny Dee & Derek May at an event in November 1993 at the Barrowlands in Glasgow called Pure. It was such a groundbreaking experience that it changed my entire musical knowledge in one night. To see those 3 on the same bill blew my mind. What an incredible talent. Jeff Mills is just a legend in the art of DJing & how to build a techno set and take you on an unforgettable journey. ✌️🕊️✌️

This is UNDOUBTEDLY Mills's best mix, and one of the very best that's ever been recorded. That's a mental mix; it's pretty hard to dance to this, it's more of an ear travel. The first 5 minutes are astonishing: Mills throws down a few of his PM era tracks and mixes them in a way that makes it impossible for you to tell one track from another. Perfect mixing and perfect climax. Then, there are many other remarkable moments in the mix. The transition from 0.30 to 0.40 is literally amazing and gives me chills every time I hear it; the way he playes Casa after all those wicked Bissmire-sque makes it feel like you're walking down from a roller coaster, like you're just getting out of a jungle or a labyrinth. The one from 1.00 to 1.06 is indeed another brilliant one. Another great one at 1.35, when he throws down the Power Cuts EP, matching it perfectly with the tracks he brought in before and after. Really, this EM seems more like a 2h track then a mix of different tracks. That's enough to include Jeff Mills among the living gods.

Easily one the best techno sets ever recorded! The track selection and mixing using only basically crossfading, pitch/channel volume control is absolutely stunning and remember on three decks!?! Sometimes it sounds as if there's too many sounds but then just at the exact moment it completely changes musical style/tempo. This is the style of mixing that only dave clarke and jeff mills can achieve because techno music is so fast and frenetic and it therefore has to be mixed in that style?
