Season40 was kind of a natural end to my survivor obsession, as it was already waning. However, couldn't help give this a listen. Congrats on 5k. I genuinely remember in jan/feb of 2020, you posted on facebook about you and Nicole doing a recap of the HvV premiere. The post has 3 likes, I was the 4th 🤣 Instantly hooked and Ive undoubtedly spent 10k+ hours listening and relistening to so many episodes. Gunna miss so many as its been years, but thanks rob, nicole, fishbach, shannon, mike bloooooooooom, Taran, Brent, Alex, Melissa, Jordan Parhar and SOOOO many more, not to mention the 100s of guests, for helping me through some dark times in the mid 2010s. Rob, thanks for the great interview. I've been wanting some insight on the changes that took place pre and post season 40 from Jeff. Staying in Fiji all the time took away from the sense of adventure in the show, but what also did that and can be brought back is that they used to have rewards that were local cultural experiences. I thought those were some of the best and most interesting rewards. The Marquasion feast for Pascal and Sean and an exclusive visit to a Buddhist temple in China. Even piranha fishing was a culturally local and unique experience. I'd like to see Jeff show us more of the local Fijian culture or unique Fijian experiences as a reward.

I absolutely loved this episode. Thank you for getting Jeff on the show. I wish the survivor fan community wasn't always so negative. We are so quick to criticize Jeff and production for this twist or that. The fact that Jeff has "stress dreams" about survivor just shows how much he cares about the success of the show. It shows in every interview he does. When you see him during challenges and tribal council his enthusiasm always comes through. Love his ideas or hate them, we can't deny that Jeff loves the show, is committed to its success and always has the best of intentions.
