Pre-injury D. Rose was a different beast. Some of ya'll just had to witness it in real time. He was a top 5 player in his 2nd and 3rd season. He took the nba champs 7 games in his first playoff appearance rookie season. He was the best player in that series. If he never got hurt, the bulls would have won 2-3 rings in his prime. He was a silent killer.
@Tao-fp3yrКүн бұрын
Idk bout 2-3 but for sure at least one. It’s haaaarrrdddd to win 2-3 in any era but in his? With Champ level prime LeBron, aging but Tactical Spurs, emerging OKC, etc. before the rise of Steph? Would have been mad hard to get a second let alone a third. But definitely would have obtained at least one with a hope for 2.

@waynewhitaker234 dude exactly, even when he had those injuries he had to deal with, the way he reinvented himself was so INSANELY rare to see in athletes. @christophergates775513 сағат бұрын
Anybody that played pg in some type of high level basketball really understands what JT was saying. Trying to guard somebody like D Rose that has not only speed, but strength and he got wiggle, is hard as a mf! And a guard that knows how to switch his gears in a blink of an eye is damn near unstoppable. Thats why i hate when people try to compare Ja Morant to Rose because they two different animals.

Derrick Rose was a beast. He made my bulls relevant and gave us so much hope. Wish we could’ve gotten a second star to take the workload off of him. But he was that dude at the time and he was only 22!

Bulls should've hung on to either John Salmons or Ben Gordon. Instead Rose was paired with "this n***a here at SG. Bulls addressed SG (RIP Hamilton) the year Rose was battling injuries eventually leading to the ACL tear.

I agree I would’ve loved a rose/butler duo had they both been on the same page. But thibs also kept jimmy on the bench his first year and second year just gave him defensive assignments such as guarding LeBron. Once rose went down, jimmy got more minutes out of necessity. But once jimmy did become good, he kinda took over the team while rose was still coming back from injuries. The Chicago media always painted it as the two didn’t get along and didn’t help that gar/pax were trying to get rid of thibs atp.

If DRose NEVER got hurt? My answer to that question is as follows: 1. LeBron’ career and accolades would be WAY fewer. Lebron would have fewer rings, fewer MVP trophies and fewer trips to the Finals. LeBron is very lucky that DRose got hurt! Don’t believe me? Look at highlights of when they faced each other, especially in the playoffs! 2. DRose would have been in the greatest point guard AND GOAT discussion. Before he was hurt, you saw improvement in his overall game very early on, especially his mid range and 3-point shooting. 3. He showed no fear and had clutch moments very early. His athleticism was insane! Love you Pooh and I can’t wait to see what’s next for you in retirement!

It was like watching Kobe rehab and just hoping he didn’t lose that greatness …. Swear he gave the Heat problems , Indiana we hated that punk ass team with Paul George and Danny Granger with them dumb ass ears…. I’m telling you don’t just watch the highlights … watch those full Bulls games… you’ll probably never hear a player say something negative about D.Rose ….
