I really liked that about it too. At first, I was a bit iffy on them changing the plot and then I was like holy crap, this is making it so much better and less generic. This was just sublime. I cannot brag on this enough. I am very excited for their 2nd part. Even after this trilogy is completed, I hope they continue making films, because they are legitimately talented.

oh my god. this is so good. i have always wanted a movie based on this story. the actor of jeff portrayed jeff SOO good. (spoilers ahead) i did NOT expect jane in this at all. absolutely insane. what i dont like is that jeff isnt really smiling in the ending scene, so i would improve that. another thing is that i dont really like how almost the entire movie is black and white. i get it, its jeffs color scheme, but i wouldve liked seeing more colors.keep up the work, waiting for part 2!
