This method is great, especially for people who do not tend to carry cameras such as myself. Also effective for some of those moments that happen too quickly to pull a camera out as well.

A very interesting approach. I shoot more like Henry Wessel, I move quick and shoot, trying not to thick to much about what I see or I’ll ruin it. This is opposite, very nice

Being quick-on-the-draw is part of the fun of street photography!

he's not a street photographer...he's not interested in being a street photographer or quick on the draw...indeed his method is utterly the opposite...so clearly its not part of the fun for him. Perhaps your statement would be better worded: Being quick on the draw is part of the fun of street photography FOR SOME.

Although Mr. Wall has often been criticized for his staged imagery...hes never claimed it to be anything other than that. Its so far removed from fashion editorial work of Peter Lindberg or More so Deborah Turbeville. Their work is obviously staged...its editorial after all, and they dont claim that they are shooting life as it happens. They create(created in Ms. Turbeville's case RIP) little unfinished worlds for us the viewer to decide what might be going on...who these people are...what happened next...and within those worlds somewhere there is a fashion element. Mr. Wall's work is much like this...he creates from memory little vignettes of life that is left up to you and I to decide to finish the story...or not.
