Best excuse yet I've heard from a guy as to why his right arm is bigger than his left. 😜😄🤣

its really great to hear some direction as to how to play rather than what to play. for me i can learn most of the songs i want to in a couple weeks but what holds me back more than memorizing the song is the techniques i use to play it.

So cool how he mentions Thrash Guys in the 80s were either Down Pickers or Alternate Pickers. Alex Skolnick and Jeff Waters are Great Examples of using Both! 🤘

Wow, really nice to hear how Jeff puts his hands on the strings. I do that to play faster notes as well because a support gives me a lot more of balance and control. If the guy who solos Burns like a Buzzsaw Blade does it... then it's not a problem at

1. Jeff is an absolute fucking legend 2. All my electric guitars are equipped with a Floyd Rose or licensed tremolo, which never prevented me from playing such Annihilator classics as Alison Hell, The Fun Palace, Imperiled Eyes, Stonewall, even Crystal Ann...

He actually almost nailed how Van Halen picks ahaha. He uses that almost Gypsy Jazz way of Picking like Marty Friedman. Seems he also holds the pick with his Middle finger his Tremolo picking looks Insane. I Will never forget how Mind Blown I was when I first saw Eddie Trem Pick in Live Without A Net! 🤘

Both hetfield and hanneman/king had very different styles but are pioneers and masters of their respective styles. See also scott ian and especially ERIC PETERSON (monster) for other great rhythm guitar similar to hetfield. Of course there is also mustaine and waters who are in a league of their own.

I still don't get why he can't use floyd rose guitars... What is the difference.
@weaponofliberation40935 жыл бұрын
Exactly... he's an awesome one of the best metal guitarist period but guess you fall into "your" style and it just works big time.
@kkarx5 жыл бұрын
@@weaponofliberation4093 I mean you might just shift your hand closer to neck and the floyd rose mechanice won't be any obstacle for you. The funny thing is he actually plays EVH strat with floyd and I could not spot any problem with his playing. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4SWd3WHfNZ7pq8 He is very unique player, incredibly precise, clean, beautiful melodic ideas, big tone... He is one of those players who don't not mess around and play mostly just 8th / 16th / 32th notes.
@christineblack46544 жыл бұрын
well the floyd and the fine tune buttons are in the way of the hand. what don't you get?
