My Dad played for Annihilator in 1988 and recorded the Alison hell demo album. If Jeff Waters wasn't so selfish and could hold a band together they could have gone huge. Look at all the past guitarists for Annihilator. Really sad.

Such an awesome song, and Jeff makes it look almost effortless. Seriously though, even most of the rhythm guitar is like playing a solo in this beast of a song.

He such a machine, looks too easy for hi :D Side note: Getting into his playing has been very interesting for me because you can really hear the influence he had on Alexi Laiho's solo style (I listened to bodom first); the phrasing and "fun" factor here really remind me of the solos on kissing the shadows. Just my opinion, but I think Jeff and Annihilator fall short in recognition in the U.S. due only to not touring the U.S. The European market is more accessible (more and larger festivals) and less expensive than the U.S. touring and festival market. Never the less, Annihilator is one of the best bands in the world.

Alice in hell was a killer-debutalbum with much power and great riffing. In my eyes the best Annihilator-Album. Jeff is such a great guitarplayer putting tons of riffs into just one song. So sad that there were so much lineup changes even to a oneman band that killed the Annihilator-spirit (my opinion, that doesn't mean that i do not love all the other albums).Jeff rules!🤘

I didn't see him noticeably struggling much through most parts, but it isn't unheard of for a musician to struggle playing his own song if his band rarely performs it live, and I don't think Annihilator performs this very much at all. Doesn't matter if you wrote a song, you can easily forget how to play it if you've gone even just a few months without playing it. For all we know he may have had to relearn this song just to play it here.
@Britishwolf896 жыл бұрын
I think the main reason for that is that Jeff would maybe struggle to sing and play it at the same time and it's an incredibly difficult song to play right. Couldn't have imagined Dave Padden singing and playing it either even though he was actually a tight singer and rhythm player.
@iamgribs2 жыл бұрын
Well it's an extremely difficult song to play. he didn't get every single moment 100% but most of it looked easy to him. even the rhythm parts look hard because it abruptly starts and stops a lot
