Mal's last comment about her breathing already having a huge improvement from the week before blew my mind. My only real source of knowledge about this surgery is from a random episode from Two and a Half Men I saw on an airplane. And one of Charlie's girlfriends was convinced to do the surgery because someone suggested it'll help with back pain she was having. Never imagined that this could be another benefit and hey, whatever helps Mal live a healthier life, we're all for it. Continued good vibes- it's looking amazing so far

11:40 YAAAAS for the incentive spirometer use! GOOD JOB MAL! ❤❤❤ It also prevents post op complications like pneumonia. Most patients that I have hate it but it an extremely important part of post op recovery! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

AAAAA Hearing Mal talking about how she did with her spirometer made me so happy!!! I’m so glad that her quality of life is already improving big-time! Also, I’m diligently taking notes about the setup and recovery and all of that stuff for whenever I get the surgery as well. ^_^ #TeamMal 💙💙💙

It's good to see that Mal is recovering well! I'll be honest it's put the wind in my sails quite a bit towards getting progress on a similar surgery myself too (particularly today after hearing abt the breathing part... I feel the same way at times, hm!). Hope things continue to improve and you're both able to get some restful unbroken sleep soon. :)

Depending on where I am when it happens, I may end up doing that wedge + maternity pillow combo when I get top surgery. No idea when that's happening since I have to lose a lot of weight first, but it's nice to watch someone have a similar procedure. I do have a few friends around that would most likely be willing to help me with my recovery.

An acquaintance of mine literally rounded up their friends and made a spreadsheet of who needed to do what for them post top surgery. 😂 Everyone had volunteered and was willing, obviously, and I hope you experience something similar to them and to Mal when the time comes!

It’s been wonderful getting to see this! I truly thank y’all for sharing mals recovery and talking about how she feels afterwards. As a woman with a similar issue, surgery feels daunting at times but the benefits will outweigh the pain. The fact mal even brings up breathing is crazy because that’s so true! It’s something I never realized it but can be why sleeping sideways is nice. The back pain is real though and I look forward to when mal feels better to see how her back feels afterwards. Happy mal is doing so well and I’m happy she has so many people around her to care and love her!

Oh those flowers are gorgeous! It's really nice to see that in general, Mal is feeling a lot better so soon after surgery unlike last time. But then again, she _did_ vlog the very day after surgery. I'm starting to wonder if there's anything she _can't_ do unless someone tells her not to do it. Like, don't lift this or that. 😂 #TeamMal Ope this vlog reminded me that I need to catch up on Josh's EB adventures~
