I know the autotune was used for effect on the album to give the whole thing a dreamy quality...but I really like hearing the boys without it. I love live vocals because Jimin drops an octave and gets growly, Jungkook gets flowery, Tae can't stop flirting with the camera, etc. They really come alive with an audience. The saddest thing about this comeback is the fact that the corona virus has taken away their audience. They're hustling, though, as they do. Love our boys.

true! I love their live vocals too. that's why I appreciate their concert footage a lot because you can clearly hear them sing. on broadcasts, the backtracking are so loud all the time. I know its for hyping and are common in dance songs but our boys can do without it. yes, lots of talks about the tour being cancelled/postponed in North America too. hopefully it doesn't come to that!

Jungkook and Hobi are the most stable when it comes to live vocals. All the others sound amazing too, of course, but those two ALWAYS deliver, and they sound exactly like on the studio version, if not better. It's kind of insane. Yeh jungkook always sounds better live and Jhope legit sounds exactly the same… jk dances harder than anyone live bc he’s so strong and just a beast. Everyone dances and performs harder than anybody I’ve ever seen lol but jk just blows me away being the main vocalist that stability on top of the energy and power he puts into his dancing… it’s legit insanity… jk is the main vocalist and vocals of course his vocals should be the most stable..but I never dreamed that he would be better live… bts as a whole is better live and I really love hearing their voices more than how tracks are tuned I think though . Also omg the outro wings harmony ugh iconic

This time all of their comeback show broadcasts have been without an audience due to the coronavirus situation in Sth Korea so there is none of the energy transferrance you get from live performances which is why their live performance was so quiet at the end. They are really putting their all & more into the broadcasts to show their love, hope and support for the ARMYs at home. Also I think they filmed the Black Swan dance practice on the same day as some of them have the same outfits on and Jimin & Jungkook were barefoot. Wishing everyone Health and safety!!!

The marching band dancers are so insync like damn!!!! 13:38 if you mean Suga didn't move his arm, perhaps his left shoulder acts up again. You can notice from his Black Swan performance during the comeback. He didn't lift his left arm much in Black Swan. It's his injury since pre-debut. He was working part-time delivery boy and got hit by car. So sad, he didn't get the proper treatment (afraid to get kick out of BH if known). Now the damage is prolonged. ps: luv yr reaction, esp technical & details breakdown... elbows part ?!!

The LAB were so damn good. They hyped our boys so much. (The back dancers in the US) I am always dumbfounded about that choreo where do the high kick almost touch their legs and go down and come back up. HOW ARE THEY SO SYNCHRONIZED???!! When they did the first comeback show in Mnet i was taken aback by their vocals. I mean i know they always sing live but for some reason these comeback shows were on another level. They are so stable with that high energy dance. I also loved how jimin did the Hey na na na part like Hey na na naooo! And Jeff, i think you should do dance tutorials because you know how to explain each dance move. I love it😀 Sorry for the long comment 😂

yeah I try to watch other dance groups and I compare them to BTS' synchronization -- which is to a level, unfair, but BTS really raised the standards haha. their vocals are insane in those performances! I love it though. I think cause they've figured out where their vocals shine the most live so maybe they even wrote the song with those in mind. would love to do some dancing related content but my space isn't big enough for that (hello Toronto residential prices lol). will consider in the future if I get access to a dance studio or something

Jungkooks natural tone to his voice is pretty deep…. Tae is a baritone but jk is the deepest of the other three vocalists… but bc there are more vocalists with higher voices and will naturally sing higher tones then the keys of the songs tend to be a bit higher. Jungkook is not able to showcase his deeper or more dark raspy parts of his voice bc of this. He’s got such a beautiful natural tone that’m I always describe as velvet lol i don’t know how to explain it but his voice is the kinda voice made for like r&b songs…. He kinda was able to show that a bit in “my time” and ugh I love that. There are parts people will think are taehyung or jimin but it’s always jungkook lol bc he is human autotune and pitch perfect I don’t think people understand the vast amount of techniques, colors and textures he uses depending on the style of song…. It’s wild how versatile he is… I love his vocals in “am I wrong” like his and jimins parts are gorgeous but he gets to use a bit more of his tone.. he’s definitely got way more of a natural rasp to his voice. One thing is jimin tends to have to growl with deeper tones in songs to add volume bc it’s really hard to do that with that high tone without kinda growling or yelling …. It can’t be good for his throat and he always ends up having a sore throat bc of that… don’t want him to hurt his vocal chords :/ but also jimin actually uses a vocal kinda cry technique naturally that is like that litttle flip at the end lol f words or phrase that sounded like an effect to you I believe? I really am pretty sure that’s just how he sings now…. He kinda trained it into his voice and used to use it more with emotional songs for effect… but he uses it all the time now .. and I’ve heard him do it without a mic so I think it’s just his style of singing from what I’ve seen… I could be totally wrong lol but I’m pretty sure it’s just his voice :) Also yeh jk always mixes up how he sings things or where he will do the back vocal or adlib ,!or harmony live depending on how he feels I guess lol I duno but it gets better and better and I loved getting to hear him do some more of what he’s so good at he hts songs don’t really have spots like that in them as much… so proud of them all

The dance team on the music video is The Lab. Sienna Lalau is the choreographer and also with The Lab. (However, there may have been some UCLA band members as well in the music video?) The choreographer is around 20-21 years old now.

11:19 I love taehyung and what you’re confused about in how he does this move when he’s in the center is bc he’s short cutting it lol if you pay close attention to him when he’s in a small group part… or center in a group part he does typically dance as hard as the others… at least the other dance line members… Jhope jungkook and jimin all dance extremely hard and hit their moves with a lot of intention and precision… Tae doesn’t dance as hard as them physically. I say physically bc it’s more like he kinda adds his own flare to the moves they’re doing… sometimes he kinda falls in line and does the moves like the group is…. Especially if he happens to be in the center then he may do the moves the same as the other members… but he kinda makes the moves his own and adds some extra performance flair with how he delivers the moves. I’m not saying it’s bad bc he’s a great dancer it is just his style and it’s still performance.. he’s just using the energy they’re using to go full out and dancing well putting energy into being a little different… just another style which can be cool bc it never gets boring. Like even in the butter dance break live… threw me off right away bc jimin and Jhope hit moves so hard extremelynorecise and in sync and they’re moving as if they’re attached… but Tae doesn’t and he doesn’t get as low as them and tends to not like to bend his knees too much I’ve noticed so he dances more standing straight up and it’s progressively gotten more and more over time… but he usually throws me off on that dance break in butter bc he’s not matching their energy physically… but makes the girls go crazy with his performance and that’s what it’s about and them having fun and stuff … they’re a unique group for damn sure 😂

I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned it, but Suga has an old shoulder injury that acts up a lot. I don’t know if that affected the way he’s did the ON dance practice but it’s affected him n live performances recently.

He was using more of his chest voice than his head voice. In the radio recordings, he uses his head voice. I imagine that's hard for him to do every performance. If you don't use your voice the right way, you can strain and hurt your vocal cords. It seems to me that they've worked with these guys to open their nasal resonance and utilize parts of their voice they haven't before. Jin has the most obvious improvements as we saw in Dionysus. He and Jungkook are both less nasally.

so true! it's right that they are learning new ways to utilize their voices because overtime, if not done right, it can really hurt their voices in the long run. I need more of JK doing chest voices lol it sounds so good!

We cannot definitely say if theyre singing live. I'm an Army, and I'm not against them, I love them. But I think this is a pre recorded live. Maybe they record only the Performance with less energy dancing and more focus to their vocals and then they only got the audio of it. And when it's time to record the Performance again for the focus of dance, they played the one they ore recorded because we can't hear some breaths being exhausted after the Performance (the ending pose) even a single. Even on JKs part, that w is hard to lip sync because of the timing but it seems like he doesn't sync a bit on the vocals (pre recorded live audio) . And because that choreo is so intense and hard, But also maybe I'm wrong maybe they have just a good quality of mics. You can hear their vocals clearly is because there weren't any audiences(ARMYS) due the CV19. Just the boys and the TV crews. The boys put in the greatest performance just for the ARMYS that are home watching.

The parts Na Na Na is Jimin all the time not Sia in this version. Version 2 ON BTS (Feat. Sia) Jimin sings Na Na Na on his part and Sia sings Na Na Na on her part but most parts are was Jimin sings.

they really are! I just watched a video of a non-karmy guy reviewing MOTS7 and he hated the auto-tune/robotic sound so much. he thinks that these guys ARE excellent vocalists so he's confused why they had to use it. I agree to a certain extent! I would want BTS to do more of a vocal-centric album or mixtape.
