This is a great little demo. Does anyone have a link to the sample file? The only links I could find seem to be dead.

Dear Jeff, Excellent article, I have a request if you can guide me Please, how can we add dynamic x-section in profile view for the survey features i.e culverts, (rectangle as well as circular), bridges, pipes, retaining walls etc.) along with their specification information, i.e size, levels, etc. i want it to be dynamic on alignment as well as in profile view. I tried to use object projection it projects complete 3d objects rather than giving x-section at centerline alignment. please guide. Thx in davance

Thanks for the great videos Jeff. What if either of the roads are superelevated? Will the offset alignment profiles update to reflect the superelevation?

It would be great if we had 3-radii curb return alignment with angle ratio between the 3 arcs. Keep up the good work!
@kiyagaedwin7 жыл бұрын
was about to say that too. i think a 3 centre arc would be good.

Once you have your connected alignments done can you trim the extension of the offset alignments at the curb return locations?
@JeffBartelsCAD5 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. Investigate Civil 3D's Alignment masking feature. Thank you for your support!

Hello Jeff, thank you for the very informative videos you've done. Currently in the process of learning Civil 3D since the firm I work for no longer use AutoCAD. Do you have any suggestions on what videos to first watch to start learning the work flow? Thank you in advance.

Oo Gu I recorded a Civil 3D Essential Training title for Lynda.com a couple years ago. Lynda.com/jeffbartels I think you can get a free 30 trial to watch the title. I recommend starting there because it covers all the fundamentals. The recordings I create for KZbin can be used to fill in the gaps. Hope this helps!

is there an advantage to having the connected alignments versus having one continuous alignment representing the EOP?
@davidpresley53556 жыл бұрын
Generally, it could give you better control of the intersection when building a corridor. When targeted for an intersection, you'd already have both horizontal and vertical control. In addition, they'd be dynamic.
