I got interested today to search of my grand uncle by name. Glad to see that people still use his book. I actually used his book back when I started percussion in middle school. It was great learning material. My grandmother Geraldine Reed (Ted's sister) was a New York city Rockette. I never met either of them but we have some photos of them both performing in New York. Thanks for sharing your video and my grand-uncle's legacy!

Excellent. Thanks for reminding me about the value of this book . Suggestion- you CAN play three bars of time / beat for # 68 and 69 , just play them as a one measure phrase using 32nd notes . . I’d love to see you do this , if you are game . Thanks

Excellent lesson. I go through the same exercises with all my students for years. Nothing better than the syncopation book. It can be used in so many ways. 👍🏻🥁👍🏻

Thanks Jeff - very instructive - I'm back at the Drum Set after about 30 years, and it's coming back together but amazing how much one can forget - very helpfull !

There’s so many Canadian drums on KZbin! Makes me wanna move to 🇨🇦. My experience in Canada is people are pretty darn nice up there, eh. With love thanks for the video

Great video Jeff... try to play the hi-hats (with the foot) on the 2 and 4th beat. just a little more tricky but effective to start learning jazz and improve the coordination.

Hey, I was wondering if you new what band / arrangement of Night in Tunisia that is at the beginning of this video
@jeffdrumming110 жыл бұрын
Hi Josh - Thanks for watching the video! The song in question is a recording from one of my jazz combos called "Search Engine" off our album "Feeling Lucky". You can find a version on iTunes. I've been playing this arrangement for years - another fellow Ottawa musician arranged this particular version. All the best!

Hi Eric - I'm a big fan of Mexx clothing - I think that's where I bought that shirt.
