The loud music drowned the real music - the Huey rotors! We took a Huey ride in Cape Town, South Africa. It was superb, 20 feet just off the beach, throwing it around in the woods below tree-level, over a cliff then dropping into a valley before a sharp turn into a hover followed by a rapid ascent for the return to the airport, again along the beach at low level. They called it "The Combat Mission" and it lasted thirty minutes. Worth every Rand!

Thats our organization, Friends Of Army Aviation. I'm very glad you enjoyed your experience with us. I see you received a tour of the aircraft by one of our best pilots, Curtis Bartholomew, AKA "Buzz Lightyear".

It was a Perfect Flight and Perfect day! Could not ask for any better! Loved being there and so many others should know about this!

One of my brothers was in the Navy Special Ops doing Snatch and Grab during Vietnam. I'm sure he was picked up by many a helicopter just like that. Your choice of music along with the propeller noise was very emotional. I've been up in a few helicopters in the Air Force as rewards or at tourist locations. I played this video in the car and for a moment my Hyundai was a helicopter! Yet another great video. 😊

Many lifts on huey when I was in the Army witht the 82nd. A few jumps. Most memorable rides were in Panama during jotc. Great aircraft.

It was a lot smoother than I was expecting... really thought it would fly like a bus and not a cadillac! LOL

This is so amazing! I wish they would have something in the NC area. I would be extremely interested. But I didn't see anything online other than a couple cities in the midwest/gulf coast.

They said they travel for a few weeks then back home to Alabama. That’s where they are permanently out of

What, no "Ride of the Valkyries" soundtrack from Apocalypse Now?

I wish I could use that song lol!

I never flew in a Huey with the doors closed. I'm not even sure if they were on the aircraft. I think that they were probably removed for weight.
@DetourswithJeffАй бұрын
This one had them! lol. I wondered if they removed them at times
