Soon after I came home from Vietnam, I met Paul Kantner, the guitarist, he befriended me, and helped me adjust to civilian life. It was through Paul that I met Gracie, and the rest of the band, and we would hang out together. All these years later, I still keep in touch with Gracie, she is a wonderful person and one of the best friends I've ever had.

How history has proven Mohammed Ali right with his ‘ain’t no viet cong ever called me no n#gger’! And his refusal to be drafted. War HAS to be the absolute last resort….and only when necessary to stop atrocities occurring. You and your generation (and the Vietnamese people) should never have been subjected to such horrors just to satisfy the US military’s lust for imperial dominance!

A Bag
@DonVideoGuy0077 ай бұрын
It looks like a bag made of soft suede with "hippie ornamentation" (sea shells, gemstones, crystals, etc.) sewn in, and probably placed there by Jack. The instrument track is from the studio session, and since Jack is plucking the strings, but his electric bass is not "live", the bag was probably put there to "muffle" the twang from the bass guitar's strings.

How did Vietnam, a country without wealth or an advanced healthcare system, avoid even one corona-virus death among its 97 million people? Simple, say medical authorities, it acted early and swiftly. Vietnam ignored China and the World Health Organization’s initial insistence that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission and deployed rapid measures like strict quarantining, and contact tracing before its first case was even detected. Vietnam lifted social distancing rules in late April after a three-week shutdown but hasn’t reported any local infections for more than 40 days. Businesses and schools have reopened, and life is slowly resuming a normal pace.
