@@Richie5903 Please read my original post. I did not say she was identical to Grace or did it as well as Grace. I said that she did it like Grace, without trying to nuance it, like when the Blue Man Group covered it. There will only be one Grace Slick, just like there will only be one Jim Morrison, one Freddie Mercury, etc. Apparently, the remaining band members thought that she did it justice. What was sad about your response was instead of saying something civil like, "I don't agree. There will always be only one Grace Slick, and she is not Grace." You leveled insults. There is this singular problem with this song that has been bothering me for 50+ years. It's far too friggin short people. It needs two breaks, a tripped out guitar solo in one and a Doors style keyboard solo in the other. The intro alone, with guitar keying us in and drums rolling us into the song should be as long as the song is now! And there should be lyrics forever. I need this to go on for 25 minutes. C'mon people...

But YOU are Absolutely Rite , it would be Great to do it the Way You Outlined ! Janis Joplin and Grace Slick were extremely important voices in music during the 1960s. Cathy had the pleasure - and responsibility - of singing their music.
