David Frieberg is probably one of Rock's most underated Singers. I mean, every time I hear him he just gets better & better - even at his age.

@@paulmor2023 He was a founding member of Quicksilver Messenger Service but vocally he was not as good as Dino Valente whom he replaced while Dino was Doing Time In The USA. So yeah, he wasn't the greatest singer but he has gotten better and better with age and that is impressive. The guy is one of the oldest rockers out there at age 84 and I applaud him for it. He's a really nice, evolved guy also.

Is that Tony Dow playing guitar and singing? I saw Jefferson Starship with .38 Special in Colorado , Wednesday, July 22, 1981 at the Pueblo State Fair. Over a year prior, in Massari Gym on campus at the University of Southern Colorado on March 30, 1980 Van Halen played their notorious brown m&m show where they trashed our Student Center and ruined our new basketball flooring with their monstrosity of a stage show. It was the school's Concert Crew that hadn't read the contract fully. I know...cuz I was there and a member. Memories can last a lifetime. Rock on, cover bands!

Between Airplane, Starship, KBC Band, i have seen some version of the Jefferson gig pretty darn close to 40 times ....Have seem them at just about every venue in the Bay Area and many of which dont exist anymore...This version is just a minor shadow of its former self to say the least...I miss the likes of Jack Cassidy, Pete Sears, Prairie Prince , Darby Gould, Grace Slick, Aynsley Dunbar, Johnny Barbata , Craig Chaquico , Slick Aguilar, Tim Gorman, Marty Balin, Papa John Creech, and most of all Paul Kantner....Really dont miss Micky Thomas that much cause i didnt care for him when he was in the band...Liked him with Elvin Bishop much better ...

Its not the classic Jefferson Airplane and Starship in any imagination. Its a new band intepreting their music. The lead vocalist Cathy Richardson has a lot of passion and the band is full of stellar talented musicians but hearing her sing the songs Grace Slick and Marty Balin sang offers its own sort of ghostliness and weirdness. They are nonetheless as I said " stellar talented musicians" ..I wonder if they have the guts be on their own and put out an album of their own new music and take the rich history of these bands to another level.

I saw Paul Kantner perform with the crew @ Penn's Peak, also in Pa., in 2005 & asked for his autograph, as he was breaking down his own gear @ the end of the show.
