Do managers at Amazon get demoted if they perform poorly? Recently a country manager of a business just transferred to a role supposedly lower than her last role which is just head of a department.

@SuperCreepyPrincess, demotions happen at all companies, but typically, going from one higher level role to a completely different role oftentimes requires stepping down a level. And a company like Amazon isn't going to demote, they would just let that person go, so it sounds more like a level down into a new role, not a demotion, but of course, I am guessing!
