That is an extensive collection. I know dusting my models is a huge chore, can not imagine dusting ships! Awesome look and history lesson as well! 👍👍

hank you. It is extensive and it has taken years to put together...not to mention a bit of denero. But it has been enjoyable and in my engineering ad other security work it has been great building several of the systems I worked on a well.

This should be a really good videos for people following my channel. In one place, you will see all the 150+ models I have build, plus my stash, etc. It's a little long, but I hope you all enjoy it. It all represents a lot of time and investment. Please read the comments I put in with the model. Thanks to you all for following my channel!

Just awesome. You ever think of donating them to the Naval War College for display? They have a few large models of ships on display... I enjoyed looking at them in between classes. However, most of the models were older classes of ships from WWI and WWII. They could use modern ship models. Each model had a small label of what it was and what modeler built it.

Thank you for your kind words. I love doing this...most of my career was involved in contract work for the US Navy, Air Force and Army. I also worked for the US Bureau of Reclamation the last 15 years but had to retire four years ago after 16 years of service due to a terminal, two month to live prognosis. But the good Lord has preserved me for His purposes and I am just fine with that My. Dr. is a faithful man himself and he agrees with me when I say that so long as the good Lord want me here, you will not be able to explain why or how...and when He wants me home, it will be the same. And I am fine either way. I love the Lord, my Redeemer, my family, and this nation and her Constitution and will always remain true to all three as long as I can draw breath, God's speed to you and yours. Please consider joing the channel subscription and pass it aounf if you are so inclined. Sincerely, Jeff Head

really really nice models. im also 1/350 modeler. I read your blog about the ships you build and im using it as a guide to build and reference on what to expect to a certain kit. by the way I remember you build a luhu class destroyer by PLAN navy, but the pictures are missing in your blog about it. Im planning to build one so im looking for reference photos, can you pls show the luhu class you build?
@JeffHead-IdahoUSA4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can see the written build thread of the Type 52, DDG-113, Qingdao, with a lot of photos, on my own site here: www.jeffhead.com/modelbuilds/ddg113.htm It is a Trumpeter model in 1/350 scale. I thought I had placed it here on my youtube channel as well. I will look around and get it on here if it is not. Until then, enjoy the written review and let me know what you think.

Hi Jeff, I love how you build within a certain mission for each group of ships. Also, in Boston you can visit the USS Cassin-Young (Fletcher Class), the USS Salem is on the other southern side of Boston Harbor from the Constitution in Quincy MA. As well as the USS Massachusetts, USS Joseph P-Kennedy, a West German missile boat, and a collection of PT Boats 30 miles south of Boston at the Mouth of the Taunton River at Battle Ship Cove.

I saw many of those vessls that were ready back in 2000 when I took my wife and our youngest son back to visit my wife's brother and family in Boson in 2000. Got a GREAT opportunity to talk to the Captain that was assigned to the Constitution for an entire hour and he introduced me to a lot of the crew. Very squared away personnel and rightfully, look on their assignments to the USS Constitution as an honor. If you get the chance, go to Amazon and buy and read, "A Most Fortunate Ship," by Tyrone Martin. Great book about old ironside. While you are there, look up my own fiction bookcalled, "Dragons Fury: World War against Aerica and the West. It's a big long hardback. Initially I came out with a series of fiver trade paperbacks but had to sell them for $12 each so my customers were having to pay 60 to get all of them. The Hard Back is a better more durable product, is a single book, and I can sell it for $29.99. It's an exciting ship and I introduced the first talk I know of regarding AEGIS on Land, which we now have, suppercavitating weapons both as offensive and fesnsive weapons...the Chinese and Russians are trying to use offensive supercavitating torpedoes while the US developed defensive ones. Anyhow, you can get a free PDF of the whole thing at my own site: jeffhead.com/ebookdownload.htm. All I ask is that if you like it, please consider buying the hardback. God's speed!

Do you hand make these models or are they sets bought somewhere (specifically interesting in the British ships) ? Big fan btw !
@JeffHead-IdahoUSA5 жыл бұрын
Well...its both. For example, there is no 1/350th scale mdel of a Ford at all, unless you go to one of the truly great museum quality hand made companies like SD Models and then spend 2,000 for one. So I bough a 1/350 Nimits by Trumpeter and then scratch biult the differences to create he CVN-80 USS Enterprise which will be the 3rd For class. I also had friends who are into 3D printing print me up both Boeings and Gummans 6th gen fighter initial proposals so I could load the deck with mainly a 6th generation strike force along with what will be the older fighters in the 2030s time frame, the F-35C. I have done similar things to several of my models Most are however kits that I build and then buy after market finishing kits which bring phot etch metal parts for all of the small 1/350 or 1/700 railing and various antenae and sensors.

Thanks for all of the comments! I have enjoyed every one and have continued to build them. Thelatest: Videos detailing the building of my new 1/350 scale JS Shiranui DD-120 JMSDF Asahi class 25DD Type destroyer. Shiranui DD 120 JMSDF 1/350 Scale Video 1 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZiXeHlmd8-nbbc Shiranui DD 120 JMSDF 1/350 Scale Video 2 kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2LbanWabqelY5I There will be two more videos detailing how I put this model together. The model is all Resin and Metals (the railing and a bunch of instruments and other equipment are from two large photo etch metal sheets). These models are supplied/sold by Arts Technique and Pit Road model companies. And though the Arts Technique/Pit Road Resin model is fairly expensive (over $ 200.00) they are well worth it. Very well built and able to produce a museum class model if you build it carefully. Very detailed, and very good/excellent fits. Hope you enjoy them.

Wow, just wow, awsome collection!! Quick question, where did you find the German naval ships? I always look but I haven't found the Baden-Württemberg:/
@JeffHead-IdahoUSA4 жыл бұрын
The Baden Wuettenburg F125 is from one of the Shapeways 3D model companies, Dutch Naval Miniatures, which I then detailed with Veteran Model parts, 1/350 etched model railing and other spare parts from other ships and from another 3D model maker, SNAFU. The other, older German ship, the Karlsruhe is from Revell-Germany and the 212 sub is one of their latest available from Hobbyboss in 1/350 scale.
